Hail to the Hive!
While the rest of Europe and other parts of the world bask in scorching temperatures we here in the UK are getting our usual dose of drizzly wet rainy grey summer. Well it certainly feels that way. What little sun that does appear for a few days I tend to miss anyway as I’m working nights. Oh woe is me.
Anyway, over the wet drizzly grey miserable weekend @diveratt and myself were out and about doing some supply shopping ( wine ) and decided to duck into a pub for a crafty few pints and get out of the rain.
The pub had a cozy old fashioned vibe to it and we found ourselves a table by the window so as to have a good view of the ‘orrible wet grimness that we had escaped.
I do love a beer and, when it has been kept well, nothing beats a good old fashioned pint in an old fashioned English Pub. I went for a Cornish IPA ‘Proper Job’ and @diveratt went for another Cornish beer ‘Tribute’ .
And I have to say it was rather delicious. I do occasionally buy Proper Job IPA from the shops in bottles but this was altogether superiour in every way. Mmmmm it went down a treat I can tell you.
It went down so well in fact that I felt the irresistible urge to get another…..well it was still raining outside so better to wait it out a bit in the cosy dry wonderful refuge of the Pub. Oooooh so good 😊
