Greetings, fellow Hivers. 🥰
The title won't fool you, at least not in my case. Yesterday, I visited some good friends, the kind of people you may hardly ever see, but when they call, you drop whatever you're doing to help them in whatever way you can. This time, I wasn't there to solve a problem. Quite the opposite. I went to meet a new member of the family, little Mateo.
He was born just a couple of months ago, and I decided to wait a little before visiting because the delivery was complicated and the recovery was quite demanding. Thank God, everything is fine now, the little one is out of danger, and he's beautiful.
Meeting him felt strange in the best possible way. The moment I saw him, a smile spread across my face and stayed there the entire time, almost like a permanent mark. It's hard to explain. I got to hold him and spend a little while with him, caught between the fear and anxiety of having something so fragile in my care. But little Mateo is a champion.
Of course, I brought my camera. Well, it's always with me anyway. 🤷♂️
I spent my time exploring every little detail of his body: his tiny hands, feet, eyes, and nose. Everything seemed amazing to me. I especially enjoyed comparing his little features with those of adults to give a real sense of scale to those adorable miniatures.
The first photo in the post shows the father's hand beside the baby's. It's incredible to think that those tiny hands will one day grow into strong hands.
This little series of portraits is just a sample of the photos I sent to his parents today. I couldn't resist getting home and immediately looking through and editing the pictures.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. I'll be reading your comments.
Saludos amigos hivers. 🥰
