Hail to the Hive!

So we are going to be in one place for at least a year, no roaming the network...booooooo! But I have to admit ,it is actually pretty nice around here. And convenient.

Working from the boat I am sure you imagine these glorious views are a standard, but remember, this is the UK.

So this is pretty normal too. But I love the sound of the rain on the metal rof as I sit working inside online, all cosy and warm.

And youy can always gert arty with the view, even with the bird shit on the window 馃槀

Now as I am working pretty much fulltime on the boat, apart from the occasional road trip of trip overseas, I needed to make it a workable and comfortable office. I bought a good desk and with the limited space available tried to figure out how best to use what I have.

As the desk could be raised and lowered I briefly thought I would face the bow and as I could raise the desk i would still have access to the bow doors. It seemed like an awesome idea and i set about making it happen. Not only was it a massive arse ache trying to move stuff around to accomplish this in such tight confines, it turned out I am not the creative genius I sometimes think i am. It really didn't work so alot of grunting and swearing later I put it all back. I did vow though , to get rid of the sofa bed as I have hated it since we bought the boat.

So everything back and a short while after the sofa bed replaced with a much improved, more robust, better quality and way comfier bum rest. Ok things are taking shape.

Now laptops, I pads, phones, card printers and all things office love a bit of power don't they and we aint plugged into the grid. There's no unlimited supply of electricity when you are a floating nomad, or usually floating nomad , currently floating and just mad.

All this space on the roof and just this crappy little solar panal pfffft. Now this just won't do so I went online found some decently priced panels 465w each and ordered 3. To my horror after checkout I realised something had gone askew and for somwe reason I had only ordered one panel and a bunch of other crap I didn't need. No clue how this happened. I messaged an old mate who works for the same company but in another city. He got it sorted and then he said "why don't you order through me you donut? I get staff discount!"

So order through him I did. Discount I got. 4 were ordered, greedy `i am. One for the other boat I shall have too now hmmmm ( read in Yodas voice)

I had to beef up the solar charger to handle these two bad bouy but it was worth it and I won't bore you with all the tech stuff. needless to say they work beautifully charging my 3 leisure batteries in the engine bay.

And the third one at the bow end of the boat i run directly into my Bluetti powerbank in the office area. Beautiful! This should now enable me to work happily from my floating office.

I'll keep y'all posted as to how this set up performs as I keep to my new daily routine back on the blockchain.

Any questions, ask away I do love the interaction

Until tomorrow

mata ashita!
