Airplane food generally sucks.
Por ejemplo: they handed out sad little plastic sealed sandwiches on our flight from Barcelona to Lisboa, with gross little slices of chicken with like 7 pathetic leaves of arugula on commercial bread with a pitiful schmear that added almost no flavor and nowhere near appropriately drippy sauciness.
It was pretty lame, but certainly nothing a little @gardenofeden ingenuity & über danking can't fix!
We take food seriously (because it actually becomes our physical bodies), so we roll with kitchen essentials even when we're on the road. Much of our pantry was wildcrafted, foraged, and/or donated to us on our monthlong adventure through Europe, and we made the best use of it we could!
To rectify our lame airplane sandwiches, we danked them right up.
We started by adding peach jam and butter obtained from a hostel's breakfast spread.
Then, we blobbed on gouda cheese. Everything is better with cheese, amirite?!
Finally we topped them with hot sauce, fresh cracked black pepper, and toasted sesame seeds.
Our creativity & culinary skillz make it not only edible, but actually GOOD!
YUM!!!
We complemented our sandwiches with an assortment of drinks, including white wine, ginger ale, and sparkling water activated with lavender that we harvested from a park in Barcelona.
Life is too short to eat shit food.
