Hello, friends especially foodies!
On our air trip going back to Jakarta after our short few days honeymoon experience in Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia, we were not alone, but accompanied by soft cookies we bought a day before the trip. Now let me tell you why we decided to try the cookies, our experience when we bought them and of course I am going to share to you the taste of the cookies, of course!
A day before going back to Jakarta, we spent the day by strolling around the Chinatown area. There beside taking photos, seeing around, bought some things (I found a cute tote bag in my favorite color and also a scrunchie, bought them and of course complete buying things for relatives in Jakarta), glad to find a great soybean milk (it was famous, once I saw it in social media), and then after went to central market,
we wanted to go back to bukit bintang area, where we stayed because I would like to meet a friend there. On our way back, still not far from the area, we found a line up customers waiting in front of a cookie store.
The name of the store was Cookiecrumbs Bake House. Not large, the place had a bunch of customers in front of their store.
Curious by the long line of customers it had, we also take the position to buy the cookies too.
After finally we could reach the store, I then could see the variants of soft cookies that they sold.
On their first row, they showed the best seller they had , they were Pistachio Kunafa, Sea salt chocolate chip walnut, Sea salt triple chocolate, and The OG dark chocolate chip.
On second row, they had Red velvet cheesecake, White chocolate macadamia, Hazelnut crunch, and seasonal special, Raspberry dark chocolate.
On the third row, the last one on the bottom, they had Milk & white chip, tiramisu, Uji matcha, and Campfire S’mores.
Next to the cashier, they showed enamel pins as their merchandise a that you could buy and a gift card.
And if you paid attention well to the picture I showed you before, on the top of their cookie showing case, they also sold tin box for their cookies and also kind of tiny bite size cookies in packages.
Even though small, at the back of the store you could see their oven and their freshly baked soft cookies, which showed that their cookies were all fresh.
At the cashier we could see the price, you could buy each at RM 10.9 (plus RM 1 for some flavors) or you could buy box of 6 or 12.
And next to the price they showed the flavors of the cookies, but for us it was easier to see on their glass showing case and picked there.
We came there for the first time, so we didn’t buy many cookies, instead the cookies were large and also we hadn’t tried it before so it would be our first experience trying the soft cookies. After we had chosen the flavor and paid, then we went back to Bukit Bintang.
The rest of the day, spent with my friend and in the evening we went together to Alor street to have dinner then bingsu dessert.
Here was my husband and i on alor street
And guess what after we reached our hotel it was almost 11 pm so no time to have the cookies then we decided to have it on our plane tomorrow.
Tomorrow the weather was bright and sunny, good for the flight, see at our window that day.
Our flight that day also served us lunch. I had pasta while my husband rice that day. Here how it looked (sorry for taking picture before I opened the lid of the food).
But it was totally great, I love the pasta.
Actually for the dessert we already got bread and fruits but of course we didn’t forget to try our cookies on our air trip.
It was the first soft cookie, on of the best seller flavor, the OG dark chocolate chip.
Even it named dark which was usually deep brown, it had light brown color instead. When I tried it, hmm it tasted so crunchy but also soft at the same time, hard to describe but it was totally tasty beyond expectation. At the same time, the flavor of the chocolate was so full but not too much. It had sweet flavor with a bit touch of savory, so tasty! No wonder their store was popular and filled with customers.
Next, the last cookie we had was their seasonal special, Raspberry Dark Chocolate.
Actually dark, the chocolate it made from was not bitter as I imagine. It was a rich double chocolate soft cookie packed with berry bits and melts milk chocolate chips, stuffed with house made raspberry chocolate filling at the center. So it had fruity filling. The flavor of it was sweet, sweeter than the OG first one we tried so I prefer the OG dark chocolate chip one as the tastiest!
One of the best soft cookies ever, so come and try yourselves to fulfill your curiosity!
