Greetings!

The law of the land gives consent to the privacy of an individual in society which to me is the best as there are some certain things about us that are not meant to be exposed or be in the public domain for others to see or know about us.
Also, security is the key to the existence of an individual who makes up the society, which means, we must also be secured for us to live a private life.
So, looking at the two together, one might be confused on which path to follow, maybe to live a public life and not be secured or to go the life of the government where everything would be monitored and stay secured.
Having said so much about a private life and the government controlled life, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt before me which is all about, “privacy or security.”
Well to me, both are good, privacy is good as it would help one keep things to oneself and likewise, security is very important as it would help us to keep our lives.
So, both are okay, but one thing that came to my mind when I saw the topic of the prompt was that, privacy is the best form of security and this is because it would help one not to be exposed to the other parties.
So, if one is to be secured, then privacy is the route. However, if one is being monitored by others, most especially the government, then one is not totally guaranteed of being secured as the leaked private life of an individual can arouse threat both from the government or others.
This threat to one life after being exposed or monitored could lead to an unwanted scenario or circumstances. So, for me, I preferred to live a private life where no one would monitor me just because he or she or they wanted me to be protected.
Another thing that I have come to know is that, there's no one that can guarantee us or anyone the absolute security that we want or deserve. If anyone should promise us that we would be secured and just because of that, he or she should have access to our private life, then we should know that such a person is only looking for a way to gain access to our privacy and after that, nothing else.
Furthermore, the only way we can attract attack is when being exposed, so, if this be the case, we shouldn't choose our privacy over being monitored by the government or individuals which at the end would attract us, this kind of external attacks that w e would not like nor bargain for.
In conclusion, I would rather choose privacy over security as privacy to me is the best form of security. Although, there's something. We should let others know about us so as to be protected, but not all things should be known to others, especially those deep things about us.
