Greetings!

One thing that I have got to know in this life is that, all that God Almighty has created is good and there's nothing not good in all he has created. It's when we got to this wicked world that thing or let me say that lives were manipulated, but even at that, we still have people doing well and this is not just because they all know what they are doing but for the grace of God that has been sustaining them.

Having said so much about life and how good were the creatures of the Almighty God, I would like to delve into the topic of the prompt before us in the Scifi-Multiverse community which is all about, “Why comparison steals joy.”

Before I proceed on this particular topic, I would say that nothing in this life can give us joy, it is we by ourselves and the Almighty God who has created us that can give us joy, nothing again has the capacity of giving us joy.

Having said that, I would go back to the context of the topic and to my own best knowledge of why comparison steals joy, I would say that when we compare ourselves with or to others, we see ourselves as inferior to the originality of the other person thereby making us to look down on ourselves which in most cases would make us to be seeing ourselves as nobody has had achieved but nothing in life.

So, when this kind of imagination crept into someone's life all in the name of comparing oneself to the other person, then there would be no more joy in the life of such a person again. Another thing that I have noticed is that, once we compare ourselves to others no matter how good or rich we are, all what we see is that thing we don't have and the other persons have and when we see that we are lacking what the other person has, even though we are richer and better than the other person, then we lose our joy overnight.

So, as for me, when we compare ourselves and lives with that of others, there's this tendency that we see where we are lagging behind and seeing this would make our joy to be stolen from us.

Thanks for reading.
