I do love my beers, especially my IPAs. Yet over the past week, while attempting to get my Actifit posts in daily, I struggled. Not only was I struggling to get my 10k goals in, but I was having a difficult time finding three positive things to be mindful about each day. I need to mix it up again, I think; shake things up a bit up here in the North!

I have to admit drinking a few beers at night is an easy fix. One can sit on the couch, catchup on work emails, watch videos one is behind on, and suck down a few beers. With an curiously stressful job throughout the day, it's an easy enough fix. The only problem is that when I do that, I end up going to bed and get anxious. I don't even have the focus to read a book before bed. So again, let's mix it up again in life. With everything out of control in the world, this is one thing I can actually take control of. I think.

So the goal is, each day, to "blog" for a lack of a better word my 30 day cleanse as it happens. I'll likely do that on my daily Actifit posts...that should be as good a forum as anything. I'm curious to see if my interests in new things improves; I'm interested if any of the stuff I "always want to do" actually manifests in my life. You know, things like fermenting foods, making sourdough, trying new meals, cooking new meals...you'd be surprised how uninspired I can get after a few beers at happy hour. Will this cleanse assist in that?

I don't know...I hope so!

So yeah, no fun BeerSaturday posts in the next few weeks (although I might try some NA beers for fun.) Hopefully, just healthy habits and some positive thinking. If anything, I am hopeful I can actually list three things I'm thankful for each day. That will be the true test, and I will be most grateful to the cleanse if that indeed returns.

So with that said, day one nearly in the books! Wish me luck in the next few weeks!
