To expect nothing. To wait for nothing. To not look for meaning in tomorrow. To not appropriate anything. To not promise anything. To not want to have only for myself. To melt my ego like a piece of ice with each passing day. To be here and now more and more with each passing day. To enjoy what I have more and more with each passing day. To be more and more grateful for what I already have with each passing day. To inhale and exhale with each passing day. And just be...
I wonder what I could say about those years we spent together? Apparently a lot, sometimes I feel like I've learned a lot, and sometimes it seems like I don't know anything at all, and if only there was a chance - I would run away somewhere where I could live alone, with myself, only the way I want and the way I understand, and how many times there were when I wanted to close the door on everything.
And always, only after I calmed down did I realize how wrong I was, how much I don't know, how much I still have to learn, and how much marriage requires unconditionally accepting another, respecting them, helping, understanding, supporting them, listening, forgiving, giving in, hugging them when you can't yet, speaking when you'd rather be silent, and I could name many more, but all of this fits into simply loving another without any expectations, without conditions, and simply being grateful for the person who is there with you. Because this is a true gift. And nothing is as important as the other who walks with you, holding on. And it always goes- maybe sometimes easier, maybe sometimes climbing like the hardest mountain while carrying you on my back, and sometimes like a dance step.
But the most important that we are together. That I can always, when it is difficult, just say - be there, and he is there. When I want to be hugged, I say Hug me, and he hugs me. When I cry, not wanting to see anything, he lets me. Whenever I say I want, and he hears and helps the desire to become a reality. When I laugh, and he says - A smile suits you so well; laugh more often. When it hurts, and he comforts and encourages me that it is temporary. When.. There are a lot of them. And when I am grateful for it every day - I understand that the Universe is so good to me, because it gave me such a gift. And I silently say thank you, thank you, thank you every day, for not being alone here. That we are together. We will experience so much more, and how much more awaits us together, and I want to feel it together with him!
I wish we could all always be who we truly are, and be with those who also feel and live - in their own truth, in their own presence, in their own self.
