Plaza de las Banderas en Navidad/Plaza de las Banderas at Christmas 🎄✨️

Por segundo año consecutivo como parte de nuestros recorridos navideños nos fuimos a la Plaza de las Banderas ubicada en el Municipio Maneiro, específicamente en la Avenida Aldonza Manrique para disfrutar en familia de las decoraciones navideñas de este año y por supuesto tenía que venir a mostrarles un poco todo lo que hay, y por supuesto dejarlos "picados" y que se animen a visitarla.

For the second consecutive year, as part of our Christmas tours, we went to Plaza de las Banderas located in the Municipality of Maneiro, specifically on Aldonza Manrique Avenue, to enjoy this year's Christmas decorations with the family. Of course, I had to come and show you a little bit of everything there is to see, and of course, leave you "hooked" and encourage you to visit.

En este punto creo que todos saben que soy una entusiasta de la navidad, soy lo que conocen por ahí como "navilover", y la verdad es que desde pequeña amo todo lo que tiene que ver con la navidad, decoraciones, luces, la comida, los regalos, el compartir familiar y por supuesto tomar fotos, y es que tengo como tradición cada navidad recorrer no solo los centros comerciales, sino plazas y hasta calles que tengan algunas casas con decoraciones lindas para tomar fotitos, y uno de esos lugares que lucen espectaculares en Navidad es la Plaza de las Banderas.

Esta es una plaza bastante grande, con muchos árboles y sobre todo bien cuidada, pero muy poco visitada por los margariteños, de hecho la utilizan generalmente para algunas actividades de tinte político, y es que creo que su ubicación justo entre dos avenidas no la convierte en un lugar muy atractivo para ir a pasar la tarde. Mucho ruido, y para los que tienen niños pequeños no creo que sea buena elección por la cercanía a dos de las avenidas más transitadas de la isla, pero en Navidad es otro cuento, es un lugar al que no puedes dejar de ir para disfrutar y vivir la magia de la navidad.

At this point, I think everyone knows that I am a Christmas enthusiast. I am what they call a "Christmas lover," and the truth is that since I was little, I have loved everything about Christmas: decorations, lights, food, gifts, family gatherings, and of course, taking photos. It's become a tradition for me every Christmas to visit not only shopping malls, but also plazas and even streets with houses that have beautiful decorations so I can take pictures. One of those places that looks spectacular at Christmas is the Plaza de las Banderas.

This is a fairly large plaza with many trees and, above all, well maintained, but it is rarely visited by Margaritans. In fact, it is generally used for political activities, and I think its location right between two avenues makes it not a very attractive place to spend the afternoon. It's very noisy, and for those with small children, I don't think it's a good choice due to its proximity to two of the busiest avenues on the island. However, at Christmas, it's a different story. It's a place you can't miss if you want to enjoy and experience the magic of Christmas.

Debo confesar que mi esposo me llamó la atención varias veces porque corría como loca de un lugar a otro casi que a los gritos cada vez que veía algo que me gustara y eso fue en todos lados, pero es que amigos, miren esas fotos y díganme si no está hecha toda una belleza. Tienen un túnel de luces realmente lindo y dentro de él puedes ver el imponente árbol de navidad que está en el centro de la plaza, enorme, con un montón de luces y bolas de navidad, un camino de bastones navideños gigantes, ángeles llenos de luces erguidos con sus trompetas y hasta un trineo espectacular con renos, la verdad es que este año se lucieron porque la plaza está espectacular, pero si me preguntan mi parte favorita tendría que decir el túnel que si te ubicas bien para tomar la foto puedes enmarcar el arbolito y se ve BELLISIMO.

Algo que me encantó ver fue la cantidad de personas visitando la plaza con familiares y con amigos, aprovechando las decoraciones para tomarse fotos, de hecho había que esperar en algunos de los sets porque estaban otros tomando sus fotografías, lo bueno es que como la plaza es grande podías ir a otro lugar mientras se desocupaban otros. Nosotros fuimos un día lunes y me sorprendió en verdad ver a tantas personas.

I must confess that my husband scolded me several times because I was running around like crazy, almost screaming every time I saw something I liked, and that was everywhere, but look at those photos, friends, and tell me if it isn't beautiful. They have a really cute tunnel of lights, and inside it you can see the imposing Christmas tree in the center of the plaza, huge, with lots of lights and Christmas balls, a path of giant Christmas canes, angels full of lights standing upright with their trumpets, and even a spectacular sleigh with reindeer. The truth is that this year they really outdid themselves because the plaza is spectacular. But if you ask me what my favorite part is, I would have to say the tunnel. If you position yourself right to take the photo, you can frame the tree and it looks BEAUTIFUL.

Something I loved seeing was the number of people visiting the plaza with family and friends, taking advantage of the decorations to take photos. In fact, you had to wait at some of the sets because others were taking their photos, but the good thing is that since the plaza is large, you could go to another place while others were waiting. We went on a Monday, and I was really surprised to see so many people.

Nosotros recorrimos toda la plaza y le tomé fotos hasta los arbustos, y como ven, mi tropa que comenzó sonriendo, después de la foto número 50 estaba tipo "hasta cuándo Dios mío?", pero bueno, son momentos lindos en familia, además de los recuerdos que van a atesorar cuando mis chicos estén grandes.

Y a ustedes gente bella de la isla si no han visitado la Plaza de las Banderas, no pueden dejar de ir, está realmente bella y creo que una forma de valorar y agradecer el esfuerzo que se tomaron todos los que crearon este espacio tan lindo para nosotros, y a los que no están en la isla, les comparto muchas fotitos para que tampoco se la pierdan.

We walked around the entire square and I took photos of everything, even the bushes. As you can see, my troop started out smiling, but after the 50th photo they were like, "How long is this going to take, for God's sake?" But hey, these are beautiful family moments, not to mention memories that my kids will treasure when they grow up.

And to you beautiful people on the island, if you haven't visited the Plaza de las Banderas, you can't miss it. It's really beautiful, and I think it's a way to appreciate and thank everyone who created this beautiful space for us.
