馃 The white wagtail (Motacilla alba)
馃摎 Motacilla lat .: m艒to, m艒tare move continuously, -cilla tail (cilla like a tail - only in ornithology, erroneous established name)
馃摎 alba (lat.) white
Most of us are used to seeing this slender graceful bird in cities.
This is very strange, because the bird is originally wild.
In the old days, she had the name "icebreaker", as it flew in at the very height of spring, when the ice on the rivers began to melt and crack. And so people called her that because she ran on the ice and shook her tail, as if breaking the ice.
Judging by the fact that she arrives so early, and in Siberia it can be frost and snow even in May, which means that the bird is quite frost-resistant. And the flight of these birds to warm countries is also quite late, in October.
