🦉 The common cuckoo (Cuculus canorus)

This nesting parasite appears in mid-May. In the forests you can hear them cuckooing. However, seeing this bird, much less taking a photo, is not easy. The bird is very shy and prefers to move in the upper tiers of the forest. However, there is a small life hack.
Outside the city there are meadows where birds live, which are potential victims of the cuckoo.

And in these meadows, as you understand, there are no tall trees, so the cuckoos are forced to fly to the nearest forest across the river to feed and spend the mating season. And they fly to the meadows to do their “dirty deeds.” There, on low bushes, they choose a victim in whose nest they will lay an egg. During this short period of time, you can capture them in a photo.
