Leaving my secured safe house around ten in the morning, I crossed rooftops and slid between buildings to reach a transport truck. Along the way, I fought off bandits and infected using crossbow bolts and hunter arrows before running past the remaining horde to reach the marked truck.
I stepped out of the garden safe house around ten in the morning to start my trip toward the E&F plant. Looking back at the window I had locked earlier, I noticed it was opened now, protected by a UV light that kept any infected from climbing inside.
Down on the ground, the streets were still crawling with infected. Wanting to avoid a ground fight, I climbed up to the roof of the safe house building to find a safer route across the district.
I needed to reach a truck parked nearby that I could drive over to the plant. Moving along the rooftops, I found a zip line slide that carried me quickly and safely from one building to another.
Spotting the truck down in the street, I moved carefully through the area, knowing I was in a high-level zone with dangerous enemies. I drew my hunter bow and landed a headshot on a nearby infected, but the single arrow failed to kill it. I had to shoot two more arrows into the infected before it finally fell.
As I climbed down toward the truck, the sound of voices caught my attention. A group of bandits spotted me and started moving in to attack. I raised my bow and took one down with three arrows, but another bandit opened fire on me with a gun.
I circled around a line of trees for cover and used photo mode to check his position. I saw him hiding behind a tree trunk just as he tried to rush my position.
Before he could reach me, a wandering infected grabbed him, giving me an easy opening to shoot the bandit with an arrow.
After killing the bandit, I shot some infected that charged at me. Through these fights, I realized if I shot from a distance, I need multiple hits to kill, whereas a single arrow can drop most targets with a single shot if I'm close-by though the law doesn't work for all infected.
With more infected swarming the noise, I decided to stop fighting and sprinted past the horde straight toward the truck waiting for me in the yard. But this entrance of the mall distracted me on my way toward the truck, as it could have good supplies inside.
