I navigated into position and assassinated Wasif from above. In the memory corridor, Basim drenched a feather in the warlord's blood while confronting a terrifying vision of the djinn. Returning to reality, Basim allowed Ali to claim the kill to ignite the revolution.
With the target isolated, Wasif stood completely composed and silent, unaware that he was trapped. Sifting through the upper beams and ledges, I climbed and jumped across the structure until I positioned myself directly above him.
Wasif didn't have the slightest clue that his grim reaper was waiting in the shadows right above his head. I took the leap and drove my blade, and executing him on the spot despite my original plan for a slower approach.
The strike pulled Basim into the memory corridor, where Wasif stared at the white feather in Basim's hand, asking if it was plucked from an eagle that fell from the sky. Basim explained it was a symbol of freedom before waiting for the warlord to take his final breath.
Fulfilling the Hidden Ones' rite, Basim drenched the tip of the feather in Wasif's blood just as the target's body dissolved into the dark void.
In the quiet aftermath, the dark djinn materialized once again, creeping closer than ever before. Just as the creature reached out to grab Basim, the vision shattered, and snapped him back to reality.
Ali burst into the room moments later, finding Wasif already dead on the floor. To solidify his standing with the uprising, Ali asked for permission to claim the kill.
Basim agreed, allowing Ali to drive his sword through Wasif's corpse just as the rebel fighters rushed into the hall to witness the warlord's end.
Announcing that the revolution had officially begun, Ali drew his blade to face a wave of incoming enemy guards.
As a massive firefight erupted in the halls, I dropped a smoke bomb into the middle of the room, blinding the guards and cutting them down rapidly to clear a path out of the fortress.
Until next time, happy gaming.
