Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. These days, we all have a lot bothering us; the economy is harsh on the common man and the masses, so we all look for a way to laugh out the pain and to lighten our moods. There are so many things I do to get the burden off my chest, but we will be looking at just one: visiting the page of one of the best Nigerian comedians daily; even his old videos still make me laugh.
There are so many Nigerians that have ventured into comedy, and the old ones that are seen like the forefathers and are no longer in business, Basketmouth, Bovi, and so many others, have stepped aside while the young ones are making waves. One of the young won't let my data last two weeks 😂, I visit his page daily to check for updates.
Sabinus is a living meme and has indeed put smiles on the faces of many Nigerians, and no doubt I am not the only one that gets cracked up just seeing his statue. Even his statue looks funny; when he talks, it's finished; he's always on the receiving end, and the face he puts up is something else.
Gone are the days when I used to be scared of visiting Instagram because of the rate at which it consumed data. The funny thing is, I visit Sabinu's page on Instagram daily, and if he hasn't posted yet, I keep myself busy with some of his old works while I wait for the new ones. No matter how busy my schedule is, I watch at least one of his videos every day; it's more like an addiction now.
There are so many things special about his content. These days, many comedians promote immorality through their skits, featuring girls who are not decently dressed just to get attention and trend, but in the case of Sabinus, it's a whole different story. He does not promote such, but he still trends, and his contents are top-notch as well.
Another thing special is his crew; nothing makes me happier than the fact that they were all friends, and he's not winning alone; instead, he carried his friends along and is trying to make sure he puts them on the line as well. The whole team winning is something not everyone will do; these days people want to win alone, but it's not so in the case of Sabinus.
His recent video where his wife went for a widow's meeting is something: how will a man be alive and his wife is going for a widow's meeting because he cannot perform fatherly duty? The funny thing is, he later agreed he's dead after hearing the huge sum of money given to her as a widow, and she promised to give him some if he agreed to be dead 🤦. This video cracked me up but I still said in my mind "I will never be broke in my life".
