The sound of good news is what everyone craves, or who doesn't love good news? I guess no one. Good news is a prayer answered; it brings joy and happiness, and the urge to share is always at the peak level for me.

However, if you had asked me this question a few years ago, I would have told you that the first person to call and share my goodness is my twin brother. And yes, he does to me, but ever since both of us got married to our different spouses, everyone is now getting more attached to their partner. And of course we still share our good news, but he comes second now, lol, and I am sure I come second to his side too; it's normal.

So yeah, you already know that for me, the first person is no other person but the husband of my youth, my friend, my better half. In fact, I am always praying for good news to happen so I can share. Good news brings a lot of relief; it suddenly puts smiles on our faces and pursues high blood pressure. As for my husband, each time he has good news to share with me, he doesn't wait until he gets home; he calls immediately on the phone and breaks the news already, especially if it's something we have prayed for a long time as a family.

But then, let me digress a little bit. Before now, my husband used to share good news with his close pals; he was so open that he hardly held back even when it was necessary until he learned the hard way.

One single piece of good news he shared with his very good friend, his old friend since their university days: this guy was bitter about this good news and had used it to work against my husband. He went and somehow connected with my husband's boss here in Lagos and fabricated unimaginable lies that made his boss hate him. The boss stopped giving my husband a contract; he started seizing his salary and more punishments we didn't know where they emanated from.

The situation frustrated my husband, and we started praying fervently as a family . After a few months, it was as if the veil on his boss's face got removed, and he remembered my husband again. Not long from that time, his old friend now told someone the good news which my husband shared with him some time ago and disclosed to the person that he will go the extra mile to ensure my husband returns back to the village. We were shocked by such a revelation, and I can't help but learn so fast. "Being conscious of who we share goodness with, especially the ones that haven't manifested, is vital".

People choose who to share their good news with, and personally, I am always intentional about mine. And if my husband, whom I first share mine with, goes to another person to share his with, I will feel bad. I think he once did it by telling his elder brother first before me and I politely expressed my mind about that.

It's okay to share good news with your family, friends, colleagues, etc., but as for me, I will share with my hubby first before others.
