Nigerian police are a huge disappointment, incompetent, terrible, corrupt, wicked – just name it. I am so pissed off right now; I am furious and so angry about how these people that called themselves professionals messed up with a thief I handed over to them at the police station in August this year.

Last night, I couldn't believed what I heard. Around 10:30pm, an hausa guy who lives in my house ran to knock at my door, shouting my husband's name. We ran out, and he was like, 'What's the problem? Why are you terrified?' The guy began to speak ... Sir, Madam sent me for an errand just along our street, and what delayed my return is because I met John. We were like John? John, our formal driver, the thief? No, John is in prison. It can't be John, who released John in the prison without our permission? Like seriously?

He continued, I am sure, madam, John called me himself even when I didn't know it was him; he has slimed down, he looked dirty, and he also looked like a mad man. He said he has served two months for the money he stole from us, and now he is free; he has been released, and he also threatened to deal with my husband for making him suffer in the prison for two months.

Really? The court only says if, by yesterday, being the 22nd of October, he could pay off the money he owes us, then he can be released; otherwise, he will serve for two more years in prison as a punishment for his crime. But now they released him without a call to us or without our money being paid? This morning we rushed down to the police station to lay the complaint, and as expected, they were talking trash.

Perhaps the young guy bribed them; I don't know, but by next week Monday when the court will seat, I will be there to apply for the proceeding recording and what happened to the case I handed over to them.

Until then, we shall see... I have consulted a lawyer, and we are getting ready to deal with the drama onboard.
