This life that we live is one that is full of ups and downs , good days and bad days and this life using we share with other people. No man is an island and no matter how much we deny it, none of us can live alone in this life.

We all grew up in families for a reason. We were raised in communities among people and later we stepped out into the real world and build real connections. These connections we build are what will keep us grounded for most parts of our lives. I’ve built bonds with people that I never thought I would one day call if anything should happen to me. We have literally grown from being friends to family now and there is nothing that will change how we see those people now.

I for one didn’t think I really had a big circle but recent events have made me believe otherwise. I’ve had people show up for me in the best ways imaginable and that still leaves me in shock. Apparently being a good person does pay very well. Speaking of good news and bad news, we will all receive both these kinds of news. But the people we will share this information with will determine how we handle such things.

I’ve shared some good news in my life with some people and things just turned bad the next minute and I’ve also shared bad news with others and they helped me work around it very swiftly. I honestly believe it all has to do with the energy of the person. The one person in my life that I know I can share my good news with at anytime and they will share in my joy 100 percent is my dad.

My dad has been someone who has stood by me through the good and the bad. He has been there to see me transition into the best version of myself and there was no judgement whatsoever in the process. He gawker grace to fully life and know who I am while discovering myself in the process. With him, I know there will always be someone by me no matter how good or bad the situation. He doesn’t really have a choice thought but given that he also has a life to live, him choosing to be present in my life means a great deal to me.

I do share most developments in my life with my dad. He also has things going on with him but I don’t think I’m always his first point of contact when it comes to good news. I honestly am cool with that because eventually I will find out from my mother or himself. I don’t really think it makes a difference who he chooses to share good news with first. All that matters is that things are going on well with him. That’s just what we hope for in this life.
