Hello folks!

So here I am, making my new post though I could feel my eyes shutting down as I type. I just want to share my thoughts on this:

One of the things that I had always loved about my profession is that, I get to be exposed to a person's important events in life. Either that person has a baby, or an operation that would correct/ heal him or, on those last moments in their lives.

I am not going to go into detail and describe my encounter with death recently but, it get me into thinking: what is important during those last moments? Was it important not to feel pain and be surrounded by family? Or, is it important to receive whatever rite one's religion offers? Or, its just a matter of waiting when one finally draws their final breath and be proclaimed dead?

I understand that even on this, not everyone really has the same point of view. Some would feel the need to give whatever care necessary until the last moments. Others would just decide to give comfort cares. While some would like to be "put out" of their miseries at the earliest signs of deterioration/ permanent incapacitation. I am not going to argue because people do have the prerogative to make their own choices. But I know that everyone agrees on this: no one wanted to suffer alone on those final moments!
