I welcome you to my blog. In life we just have to deal with both ups and downs; there are times when we smile, when we are happy, and then there are times when we are sad and have no reason at all to be happy. Trust me, we want the happy moments to last forever and don't want sadness anywhere near our doorstep, but the truth is that the world we live in has been programmed to give us a taste of both sadness and happiness, and funny enough, it is an experience of both the good and bad moments that helps to shape our minds and helps us become who we are meant to be. If we only experience one side then our mind will not be properly developed or properly shaped, so we need the experience of both the good and bad sides for our minds to fully develop and understand what life is all about.
Trust me, we all have mine, and we want to experience it over and over again with no regrets, and if given the power to keep revisiting that memory, we would do it without even thinking twice, and then there are moments that if given the power, we don't even want to experience again, and if given the power, we would erase such a memory and make sure it does not have the power to sting us again. Some memories are like a sting when we remember them; they tend to hurt you whenever you remember them like they just happened recently.
Our sources of joy and happiness differ from one individual to another; for some people they derive joy in places, some in people, some in food, some in drinks, some in what they do, and some in every help that they offer to someone else. Everyone's source of joy is valid and should not be disregarded in any way, because another person's source of happiness differs from yours does not mean it does not bring them the happiness that they need or long for. Don't try to criticize it at all.
For me the happy moments I hold so dear happened so many years ago, the times when my entire family was complete and no one had left the house. We all lived as one big family; yes, we fought and wanted to devour each other, but it was all part of what made those moments dear to me. Now it is almost two years, and I have not seen my sister and have only heard her voice over the phone. I haven't seen my parents in about a year now, and it would have been two years too long if not that I was just stubborn enough to pay them a brief visit. The moments where we were all home full time, we had a full house, made each other angry, and made each other laugh. I took those moments for granted until now, and I really wish we could be together again for a long time, but that is impossible. Even if we come together again, it is just for a week or two, and everybody is back to their place of work or school.
