Enjoying a bowl of curry with specially harvested fish is my favorite thing. They are perfect, creamy savory so the curry sauce is a great combination of spices for this.

Yesterday my friend and I moved the fish to another pond, because the first pond where it was kept was dry. Well, there are so many renovations in this area that the pool water has to stagnate flowing through it all. We harvested everything and took it to a pond where there was still plenty of water. However, when I was harvesting, I found several goldfish that were starting to reach their teenage years. They also suffered injuries to their tails from being dragged when harvesting with mud or other harvesting tools. As a result I decided to just take 1 to cook, now usually fish that are injured due to friction during harvest are prone to die the next day. However, if the wound is light it will be fine. Actually the fish that I took was still alive, so because one of my friends wanted to cook it, we decided to cook.

Big fish like babies are my friends here, but that doesn't mean they are just friends, right? Many people always want this cooked, but you know, fish that have become brood and big like this. It's not at all suitable for making a mild curry gravy as you think.

Usually I take fish weighing 200-300 grams for cooking. Well, the bigger the fish, you know the older it is, that means the meat is getting thicker, but I feel that the smell of fish, the older it gets, the more fishy it is. Now this applies to fresh water fish in my opinion, but for salt water the level of fishy smell will be lower.

Carp curry is special to us, very often this curry with thick gravy is a favorite. Usually fish curry is often found in celebrations at home, but one of them is enjoying the harvest with friends, sometimes it becomes an interesting moment. So instead of being curious, let's do it!

5 Sunti Tamarind
5 shallots
2 of garlic
1 ketapang seed

A few tips for those of you who want to make goldenfish curry to have a quality taste. You need to pay attention to several preparations, especially for fish meat with maximum taste after cleaning. One of the best ways is to marinate fish with a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lime or lemon juice. Let stand for about 15 minutes, so that the salt and lime juice seep perfectly into the fish meat.

Cooking Procedure

Step 1
Grind the spices as finely as possible, when refining the spices, don't forget to add the coriander powder earlier so that it is mixed and smooth again

Serve the goldenfish curry with whatever rice you prefer for dinner or lunch at home. The color is so pretty, perfectly cooked fish is so tender. Indeed, this is the best curry I've ever made, the taste is just right, tasty, the spiciness is right, the curry is really creamy. The combination of coconut milk and seasoning with fish meat blends perfectly, so it tastes very delicious.
