Good morning, blog friends—how are you? I’m back with a post about the walk I took yesterday. Thank goodness it’s raining today, but the weather was clear—though not too hot—yesterday. After days of being cooped up at home due to the high temperatures, I finally managed to go for a walk in my town, Montecatini. This time, instead of strolling through the town center, I decided to look for some green spaces. Unfortunately, living in the city means there is a lot of concrete and paved areas; compared to Pistoia, this town has far fewer green spaces. You either have to head out to the countryside below the town, or else finding parks for a walk isn't easy at all. In fact, to find a quiet park, I had to go all the way to the racecourse on the other side of town; there is the thermal park, of course, but I suspected it would be too crowded. People tend to go out much more when the temperature drops, and—I confess—I’m a bit antisocial; when I want some peace and quiet, I prefer not to have too many people around. I enjoy silence and tranquility.

Buenos días, amigos del blog: ¿cómo están? Vuelvo con una publicación sobre el paseo que di ayer. Menos mal que hoy llueve, pero ayer el tiempo estuvo despejado, aunque sin demasiado calor. Tras pasar días encerrada en casa debido a las altas temperaturas, por fin logré salir a caminar por mi pueblo, Montecatini. Esta vez, en lugar de pasear por el centro, decidí buscar zonas verdes. Por desgracia, vivir en la ciudad implica mucho hormigón y zonas pavimentadas; en comparación con Pistoia, este pueblo tiene muchas menos áreas verdes. O bien te diriges a la zona rural situada más abajo, o encontrar parques para pasear resulta nada fácil. De hecho, para encontrar un parque tranquilo tuve que ir hasta el hipódromo, al otro lado del pueblo; existe el parque termal, por supuesto, pero intuía que habría demasiada gente. La gente suele salir mucho más cuando bajan las temperaturas y —lo confieso— soy un poco antisocial; cuando busco paz y tranquilidad, prefiero no tener a mucha gente alrededor. Anyway, I passed through a quieter part of the city, filled with those tree-lined avenues I love so much—the only touch of greenery amidst a sea of concrete—which fortunately offer some shade and make otherwise nondescript streets look much better. I walked past some charming houses—typical of the area—and then stumbled upon a simple yet beautiful park; it was a sort of small pine grove filled with magnificent, towering trees that I simply couldn't resist photographing. The park was small and quiet; in fact, I was the only person strolling through it. Despite being surrounded by plenty of houses, it doesn't seem to get many visitors, perhaps because it lacks a children's playground. Even so, it is a clean and well-maintained park.It was a simple, pleasant walk amidst the greenery; I liked the place—peaceful, quiet, and secluded.

En fin, pasé por una zona más tranquila de la ciudad, llena de esas avenidas arboladas que tanto me gustan —el único toque de vegetación en medio de un mar de hormigón—, las cuales, afortunadamente, ofrecen algo de sombra y hacen que unas calles, por lo demás anodinas, luzcan mucho mejor. Pasé junto a unas casas residenciales encantadoras —típicas de la zona— y luego me topé con un parque sencillo pero hermoso; era una especie de pequeño pinar repleto de árboles altos y magníficos que, sencillamente, no pude evitar fotografiar. El parque era pequeño y tranquilo; de hecho, yo era la única persona que paseaba por allí. A pesar de estar rodeado de bastantes casas, no parece recibir muchas visitas, tal vez porque carece de zona de juegos infantiles. Aun así, es un parque limpio y bien cuidado.Fue un paseo sencillo y agradable entre la vegetación; el lugar me gustó: tranquilo, silencioso y apartado.
