Walking the City Streets: Challenging Myself to Walk the City and Regretting the Heat 😂
Good day, Hivers!!
I wish you are all having a wonderful mid-week. ☀️
I went to the city for some important stuff, so I challenged myself to walk from one place to the next until my last transaction. I left home early so I could finish everything early.
I rode a taxi from the wharf to SM City Shopping Center. That's my first destination. I had to buy something from a shop in front of the mall.
It was early in the morning, but the heat was already unbearable. The sky was blue and clear, but no one could even notice it because of the electrical wires hanging over every street.
Walking my way to the next place I needed to be....
In this area, the sidewalks are filled with parked cars. So, I took another way.
I know an alley where people usually take a shortcut to the next block. Fewer people take this path, so it's quieter.
I arrived at my second stop, and it took me around 30 minutes to finish my transaction. A short break.
The streets were busy, but the sidewalks were almost empty. There were a lot of vehicles.
The heat is getting intense. I was sweating so hard. My walk is getting harder with every step.
Walking in the city is much harder than walking in my hometown, in the island province. Every time I stay in the city and want to have a good walk, I usually do it in the evening. It's cooler to walk in the evening.
My last stop was at a local bakeshop to buy some "pasalubong" which is a non-negotiable every time I go to the city. 😁
It was past lunchtime when I finished everything.
Will I do this again? Maybe not 😂
It was hot and twice as tiring.
Anyway, that's all for now.
Have a wonderful week, everyone. Stay healthy 🥰
