Pescia is the capital of the Nievole Valley and is located on the border between Lucca and Pistoia. The city is located around the Pescia River, where it once emerged from two main settlements. It gradually grew and expanded thanks to trade and many activities, especially agriculture. Pescia is now divided into many hamlets, but today I'll take you to just one part of the main town, known for its floriculture, its medieval festival, its renowned hospital, and the various festivals and events held there. It's a very vibrant city, and I love it. We entered Pescia through one of the medieval gates surrounding it, Porta Fiorentina, a very elegant gate that leads straight to the city center. The gate was rebuilt and renovated by the Medici family; it's very elegant and beautiful. In the distance, you can admire a bell tower, the tower of the Pescia Cathedral, dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, which unfortunately I didn't have time to visit. As you can see, Pescia is a typically Tuscan town with small, colorful houses, various cobblestone streets, and beautiful clusters of houses.

Creció y se expandió gradualmente gracias al comercio y a numerosas actividades, especialmente la agricultura. Pescia ahora está dividida en muchas aldeas, pero hoy los llevaré a una parte de la ciudad principal, conocida por su floricultura, su festival medieval, su renombrado hospital y los diversos festivales y eventos que allí se celebran. Continuing our stroll through Pescia, we were enchanted by how charming, well-maintained, and clean this town is. We also noticed a lovely church with a beautiful cloister, and we began to visit it. This parish church is dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel. Its exterior architecture is simple and unadorned, probably an old oratory or monastery, given its simple appearance. It has a very tall, classical bell tower and is surrounded by lush plants and bushes. It must be very popular, as we found various plants and gifts outside the church. However, my favorite part is its courtyard, which is accessed under some beautiful flowered arches and offers beautiful views of both the adjacent historic buildings and the panorama of the Pescia hills. Pescia is surrounded by beautiful hills and is surrounded by beautiful nature. I really liked this little church, but it's a shame I couldn't visit the interior because there was a mass going on, and it seemed out of place to go in to take photos. Then, of course, we took a walk across one of Pescia's bridges. There are several that connect the city, which is practically divided in two. From the bridge, we could observe the beautiful, placid Pescia stream that winds its way through the valley. It's a beautiful view if you love rivers and nature. To fully explore this city, you'd need several days and certainly several hours. It has so many natural, architectural, and artistic treasures. I hope to return soon!

Continuando nuestro paseo por Pescia, quedamos encantados con el encanto, el cuidado y la limpieza de este pueblo. También vimos una preciosa iglesia con un hermoso claustro y decidimos visitarla. Esta iglesia parroquial está dedicada a San Miguel Arcángel. Su arquitectura exterior es sencilla y sin adornos, probablemente un antiguo oratorio o monasterio, dada su apariencia simple. Tiene un campanario clásico muy alto y está rodeada de exuberantes plantas y arbustos. Debe de ser muy popular, ya que encontramos varias plantas y regalos en el exterior. Sin embargo, mi parte favorita es su patio, al que se accede bajo unos hermosos arcos floridos y que ofrece unas vistas preciosas tanto de los edificios históricos adyacentes como del panorama de las colinas de Pescia. Pescia está rodeada de hermosas colinas y de una naturaleza exuberante. Me gustó mucho esta pequeña iglesia, pero es una pena que no pudiera visitar el interior porque se estaba celebrando una misa y me pareció inapropiado entrar a sacar fotos. Después, por supuesto, dimos un paseo por uno de los puentes de Pescia. Hay varios puentes que conectan la ciudad, que prácticamente está dividida en dos. Desde el puente, pudimos observar el hermoso y apacible arroyo Pescia que serpentea por el valle. Es una vista preciosa si te gustan los ríos y la naturaleza.
