The protagonist is Ava, a single woman with some past traumas. Ava is a food blogger and a writer of much-loved cookbooks. To escape her traumas and rediscover inspiration, she decides to move for a few months to a small seaside town where she can delve into local recipes and have some peace and quiet to write. She rents a house where she will live with her beautiful cat, Hannibal. This house is located on a promontory, an old house that belonged to a famous local commander who died at sea during a storm. As soon as she arrives, Ava feels strange vibrations when she sees the house, but once inside, she feels as if she's always been there; she feels protected and welcomed. As she searches for inspiration, she also becomes fascinated by the history of the house and the tragedy that involved the commander. However, the house begins to feel strange. Ava notices strange smells, a salty sea air, strange noises like voices, the super cat hisses into the void, and sometimes she thinks she sees a man, especially in the old tower where she can't go because work is being done. Ava begins to get scared, especially at night. She drinks too much and attributes these strange sensations or visions to alcohol, but they seem so real, so real!

Alquila una casa donde vivirá con su hermoso gato, Hannibal. Esta casa está ubicada en un promontorio, una casa antigua que perteneció a un famoso comandante local que murió en el mar durante una tormenta. The village is in turmoil, and everyone is afraid of the house on the promontory except Ava, who is determined to get to the bottom of the matter. She contacts a medium, investigates, and seeks help from the kind and attractive village doctor, who is concerned for her physical and mental health. Here the plot becomes more intriguing, full of suspense, mystery, and secrets. It's a very fascinating book, with a flowing and engaging writing style that mixes moments of fear with eroticism, suspense, and more procedural moments of investigation and exploration, plus obviously paranormal elements! I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to lovers of the thriller and horror genre. It's a good read and never gets boring!
