I can vividly remember how my first day of this year played out negatively. It's just like yesterday, so fresh in my memory, and today we are talking about the things I am looking forward to in December. How time flies indeed! In a couple days, the whole jingle bell songs will begin and permit me to say that December always comes as a gift to me because I usually look forward to a lot, more like a mixed feeling, from anticipation to intentional reflections.

Let's quickly look into the hive naija prompt for the week so we can be on the same page as I walk you through all I am anticipating.

It's only a few weeks before the last month of the year. Is there anything you're looking forward to in December? It may be a vacation, an item you want to get for yourself, a particular goal you're set to achieve, or just the December season itself. Share this with us and why it's important to you.

It's been a busy and eventful year in my life. I never for once expected that there would be a time I looked around and found my husband unavailable at home for a long time, but then it happened since February till date, making me engage in activities that obviously I shouldn't be doing all of that with the presence of my husband, but I had no choice but to attend to everything as it unfolds. In fact, it still baffles me on how I joggle the whole of my off chain duties and yet remain active in this space. To say that it's been a busy and stressful year for me is an understatement, and with the way things are going around in my home recently, I smell a more hectic next year, hehehe. But it's all good since the whole idea is to prepare for a better future for me and my households.

So one of the things I am looking forward to in December is that moment to rest and reconnect with my family members, in-laws, and childhood friends. I am planning on a trip to my hometown with my family and, if possible, the first week in December so I can spend much time before running back to the city to continue the hustle. Imagine how busy I have been since this year. It would make a lot of sense to take out time to recharge so I can end my year with a clear mind and welcome the new year with a refreshed mindset.

How beautiful it will be to have evenings filled with storytelling with my grandma and with my kids, just like she did to me when I was growing up under her care. I bet my kids will have a fulfilled moment with this trip at home. How beautiful I will enjoy my mornings that don鈥檛 require a rush to get the kids ready for school? These alone are joyful moments I am looking forward and can't wait to finally behold December.

The Christmas breeze already filled the whole corner in my home, as the kids are super excited since I announced to them our travels to our hometown. I better not change my mind because it will be disastrous on their end with the level of excitement and counting days they have been doing at home now馃槂. The vibes are becoming more than Christmas itself, and I am beginning to join them in counting the remaining days so we can experience this fun moment knocking on the door.

Revisiting some important places at home will be something exciting; participating in different cultural festivals mapped out for December alone in my hometown is always fun to behold. It's sure going to be a time to take a break from the daily grind and buzz around. As a blogger, capturing and documenting every moment during this vacation is a must and will surely bring fulfillment in my life.

December feels so magical, with the festive spirit all over the place. Overall, I am looking forward to a moment of relaxation and self-pampering while I reconnect with my relatives and enjoy the vacation, capturing every moment and the amazing things it brings.
