Just like Play 2026 is gradually coming to an end, this is me reflecting back on the year and how everything happened in ten months. At the beginning of the year there were a lot of expectations, goals, plans, and so on. We were able to achieve most of the goals; some turned out to be something different, and some are still work in progress. Well, I will not say that 2026 is a bad year because there are a lot of lessons learned, challenges, unforgettable experiences, and growth.

One remarkable thing about the year 2026 for me is my personal growth. I get to realize that growth as a person is not always loud. Sometimes growth can mean becoming more tolerant, being patient, and disciplining yourself and knowing when to talk and when you will be silent. It can also mean choosing peace of mind over a situation that will drain you, accepting things that cannot be changed, and accepting that every failure is not the end of the road; rather, I should pick up from there and try more.

I have gotten to learn that consistency is very important; there are times in my life that the motivation is there, and anything seems possible. There are also days that I was discouraged; I faced disappointment, and there were moments I felt unsure about the future held for me. I have come to realize that everything is not all about motivation. What keeps me moving is the decision to continue.

Another thing I will not forget this year is the people and the people I experienced that have crossed my path. I meant amazing people this year—people that have made my life beautiful—and I cherish every moment. Others still taught me important lessons about trust, relationships, and communication. The truth is that not everyone is meant to be in our life forever. I have learned to appreciate people for the roles they play in my life, and I don't force relationships from anyone to remain the same.

This year taught me that I should be more grateful for the simple things I have, be able to achieve good health, and that the gift of family and friends waking up to see another day is a blessing. I have the privilege of learning new things and the strength to start over after every disappointment. As the year passed by, I realized that life is all about achieving major goals. It is about appreciating the little milestone I was able to achieve.

I will not say that the year has been perfect; there are moments of disappointment and failure, there are moments I questioned myself, and there are things I wish I had done differently. One thing is certain: I am uncertain about what to concentrate on for the remainder of the year, aside from the mistakes I made. Instead, I want to focus on my lessons and experience every difficult moment and have something to teach.

Then the things I look forward to are better high school, new opportunities, taking proper care of myself and financial stability, and creating beautiful moments with the people that matter in my life. Progress is one thing I want to focus on, and I will finish the year stronger than I started.

I look forward to new opportunities and blessings. Good things happen when we are less expected. I keep my mind so open through friends, work, and learning.

I am so going to end the year with gratitude. I may not be able to achieve everything I wanted from the beginning of the year. But I am so grateful for how far I have gone. There are times I achieve something beautiful, start something new, and create memories that will carry me into the next year.

I don’t see the last month of 2026 as a countdown to the next year. It is a moment I reflect on, learn from, and appreciate. I so much want to enter the year without having any bitterness, regrets, and so on. Rather, I want to carry the beautiful moment, lessons, and amazing people this year have given me into 2027.

One lesson this year has taught me is life is a journey, and everyone's journey is different. Our goals are not only measured by our goals. When you fail, pick up from there and keep trying. One thing I have told myself is I pick gratitude over regret. I am looking forward to seeing what the remaining months hold for me.
