There are a lot I can actually pay people to do for me at home, but many times, I just have to do it myself and save my money, you know. 馃榾
As a wife and mother of three boys, there are many things I do myself in my home rather than delegating the job to professionals to do them and get paid while I have my me time or just relax and calm my nerves.
When it comes to cooking, many people hire chefs to do the cooking. You may agree with me that no matter how we claim that cooking is a hobby, it's quite stressful, especially if you married an African man like me who loves only native food, you will get exhausted in the kitchen cooking for him and cooking separately for the kids whenever necessary.
No doubt, I enjoy preparing my family food myself, and that's why I decided to keep doing it, especially to be sure of what goes into our mouths for hygiene sake. Again, I bought the raw food myself. I can't even imagine asking anyone to shop for food stuff for me with the way food prices are increasing in every eke market day in my country , lol.
Doing all of these myself at home can help us manage our expenses better.
Talk about the cleaning and general arrangement of my home, I do that myself too with the help of my sister in a we planned manner, but if I should be sincere with this one, I wish someone would appear and take up this cleaning stuff from me so I don't get so overwhelmed one day, hahaha, or better still buy me a robot 馃槈
One other thing I enjoy doing myself is standing as a home tutor for my kids. Maybe because I have little knowledge about education and some teaching methods, but then I am not a professional on this; however, I don't hesitate to source out for a professional when I come across something beyond my knowledge. I would rather call someone to avoid complicating issues in the brain of my innocent kids. 馃榾
But truth be told, doing everything myself at home doesn't mean I can't afford to source some out, but personally it's about saving money because I haven't arrived yet, and again, I am also learning new things in the process of doing all of these myself; however, whenever I become very wealthy, I will almost outsource house chores but with close monitoring, especially for kitchen duties, because I am so intentional about what goes into my family mouth.
Another question is if I will continue this way. Yes for now, but like I mentioned earlier, as soon as monies start flowing well, delegating these responsibilities will be a big YES for me. After all, a hardworking woman, a home manager like me, also deserves some rest.
