Lateral Raises are usually done with both arms while standing or sitting. It could be done one arm at a time too, but this time I took it to a new level. It's a style I saw some people doing on the net and they explained that lying down on your side like that and doing it one arm at a time makes the workout a lot more effective.
The explanation made a lot of sense because they mentioned that this position stretches and stresses the shoulders a lot more, and I already know that having a better stretch while working out helps the muscles grow better. So I decided to do my lateral raises this way.
I felt the effectiveness and this is a cool way to do them, but I find it so boring and time consuming because I have to do them one arm at a time instead of both at once, and lateral raises are usually done with light weights so it definitely takes more time to do enough to get you tired.
This variation is just definitely something I'll hardly do.
