This week I went to the supermarket and saw a Chinese beer in the refrigerator that I'd never seen before, and obviously never tasted. So, out of curiosity, I decided to buy a can, even though it cost $2 and my niece asked me why I was buying a beer I knew nothing about. But that's just how we are.

Since I only bought one, I opened it when I got home to have with some candy I'd bought and a slice of pizza that was in the fridge. I don't know what I was expecting, but it tasted like anything but any beer I'd ever had. This beer tastes more like pineapple soda than beer.

It also says it's a light and fun option, perfect for enjoying on warm days or as an accompaniment to casual meals. Well, it was a warm day, and the meal was pretty casual.

I also discovered that La Guang's is one of the most famous pineapple beers and that it was created in the 70s when they combined soda with beer. And although it has malt, barley, and hops, it doesn't have the bitterness of a regular beer. It also has a very low alcohol content, and its pineapple flavor is quite dominant, making it easy to drink. Personally, I didn't like it. It's like drinking a sweet pineapple soda.
También descubrí que La Guang's es una de las cervezas de piña más famosas y que se creó en los años 70 al combinar refrescos con cerveza. Y aunque contiene malta, cebada y lúpulo, no tiene el amargor de una cerveza común. Además, tiene un contenido alcohólico muy bajo y su sabor a piña es bastante intenso, lo que la hace fácil de beber. Personalmente, no me gustó. Es como beber un refresco de piña dulce.
