Cosmic Creations, Mythology: The myth of Lilith | El mito de Lilith [Esp-Eng]
¡Saludos amigos! El dia de hoy les presento mi participación para la nueva edición de creaciones cósmicas, que en esta oportunidad el tema trata sobre "Mitologia".
Greetings friends! Today I present to you my participation for the new edition of cosmic creations, which this time the topic is about "Mythology".
Para ello me he inspirado en un personaje que tuvo su origen en la mitologia mesopotámica y que más tarde fué adoptado por la mitología hebrea.
For this I have been inspired by a character that had its origin in Mesopotamian mythology and that was later adopted by Hebrew mythology.
Su nombre es Lilith, una mujer rebelde que según los textos antiguos hebreos fué la primera mujer de Adán y la cuál abandonó al paraiso por desobediencia, ya que no queria somerterse a los designios divinos.
Her name is Lilith, a rebellious woman who, according to ancient Hebrew texts, was Adam's first wife and who abandoned paradise out of disobedience, since she did not want to submit to divine designs.
Después de que Lilith abandonara el paraiso se asentó en la costa de el Mar Rojo, lugar caracterizado por ser habitado por numerosos demonios, ella convivió con ellos, engendrando así multiples criaturas igualmente demoníacas.
After Lilith left paradise she settled on the coast of the Red Sea, a place characterized by being inhabited by numerous demons, she lived with them, thus giving birth to multiple equally demonic creatures.
El mito de Lilith es bastante amplio e interpretado en muchas versiones según las diferentes tradiciones y culturas.
The myth of Lilith is quite broad and interpreted in many versions according to different traditions and cultures.
¡Bien! Ya que conocemos un poco acerca de Lilith, les mostraré un poco sobre la ilustración que hice para representarla y su proceso creativo.
Good! Since we know a little about Lilith, I'll show you a little about the illustration I made to represent her and her creative process.
Como pudieron haberse dado cuenta, la ilustración de Lilith fué hecha en pixel art, arte digital y mi representación se basó en el rostro de una mujer pelirroja con enormes cuernos como simbolo de la legión de demonios a la cual pertenece, usé tonalidades rojas para definir algunos de los elementos que conforman la ilustración, tales como: los ojos, labios y cabello, con el fin de hacerla lucir mas pasional y sensual, ya que el personaje lo requiere.
As you may have noticed, the illustration of Lilith was made in pixel art, digital art and my representation was based on the face of a red-haired woman with enormous horns as a symbol of the legion of demons to which she belongs, I used red tones to define some of the elements that make up the illustration, such as: eyes, lips and hair, in order to make it look more passionate and sensual, since the character requires it.
Proceso | Process
Inicié creando el boceto, al cual le agregué todos los elementos que deseaba incluirle al personaje.
I started by creating the sketch, to which I added all the elements that I wanted to include in the character.
Una capa más abajo agregué el color base.
One layer below I added the base color.
Empecé con el sombreado del rostro, para ello usé colores planos y con tonalidades más oscuras al color base.
I started with shading the face, for this I used flat colors and darker tones than the base color.
A esos colores planos le hice un tramado de pixeles, el cual le dio ese efecto de degradación a los colores.
I did a pixel dither to those flat colors, which gave that degradation effect to the colors.
Agregué la iluminacion al rostro, usando un color claro.
I added the lighting to the face, using a light color.
Y luego continué con los ojos, labios y el cabello y como mencioné anteriormente, para estos elementos usé tonalidades rojas, las cuales representan la pasion y sensualidad propia del personaje.
And then I continued with the eyes, lips and hair and as I mentioned before, for these elements I used red tones, which represent the passion and sensuality of the character.
Lo siguiente fué el coloreado de los cuernos y todos los demás elementos que conforman la ilustración.
The next thing was the coloring of the horns and all the other elements that make up the illustration.
No me enfoqué mucho en el fondo, ya que mi principal objetivo fué abordar el rostro.
I didn't focus much on the background, since my main objective was to address the face.
