Is this a distraction? Or just procrastination; could be the case.
The fact is that I wanted to spend the day visualizing tomorrow's concert, mentalizing the space, the stage, the piano, the feeling, the speed of the pieces, the passages I have to play, the eyes, the gazes... From the members of the choir. And the director's gestures. His facial expression and every movement determine the character of the composition and tell us how we have to interpret it.
It's because everyone can play or sing, but the difference... this is what you have to know how to make. Touch hearts, perhaps.
Yes, I wanted to focus on this, completely, but you know what? I was playing with these photos that I was finally able to take out from my camera. They were hostages there, for some weeks, due to a little error - hmm, a "little" error is that I killed its battery, but finally, the replacement arrived yesterday.
Another confirmation - again a yes, it was a distraction, to be around these forest scenes, but anyway I see something here that guides me. A colour that tells me that my mind has to be cold and calm. But fresh. May my mind tomorrow be the one that controls my breathing and brings fresh air to the brain.
If you have ever observed well a musical ensemble, you have noticed that the musicians have to work together. Well, it's an understatement to say that.
Breathe together.
That's already a better approach.
But the truth is that each of us has a different background.
Some are professional musicians, but most are not. Some got up early or didn't even sleep; others have problems or difficulties, and maybe they are thinking about illness, work, family, or a neighbour. Someone is carefree. Someone is thirsty. Or his/her leg hurts.
Like leaves with different colours and shapes, but what does the branch that connects all of us mean?
I know the answer, but do you want me to tell you or I leave it to your judgement?
...
The spirit and special moment that through music is offered, that special and unique moment when one can touch the warmth of life... and pain of death, and everything that passes amidst.
It can be a clear moment or just a blurred memory.
A feeling.
And everything in between.
