El hombre de la cabeza verde,
quería hablar con él pan...
No sé que tema tratará,
se veía serio, aunque rostro no hay.
The man with the green head, I wanted to talk to him bread.... I don't know what subject he will discuss, he looked serious, although there is no face.
Se acercó demasiado,
para escuchar al pan claro,
es que habla despacio
y en un tono muy bajo.
He got too close, to hear the bread clearly, is that he speaks slowly and in a very low tone.
Pero, no sé percató,
que se dormiría sin razón,
caería sobre el pan
y lo aplastaría sin piedad.
But he did not realize that he would fall asleep for no reason, it would fall on the bread and crush it mercilessly.
El pan lo atrapó
y entre su masa lo envolvió,
la mano verde quieta quedó
no hubo sonrisa, ni cara de horror.
The bread caught him and wrapped him in its dough, the green hand remained still, no smile, no face of horror.
Pero, nadie le teme al pan,
su masa es suave y fácil de rasgar,
el ser extraño sus brazos saco
y como un suéter el pan quedó.
But no one is afraid of bread, its dough is soft and easy to tear, the strange being took out his arms and like a sweater the bread remained.
Ahora camina entre palos de madera...
Now he walks among wooden sticks...
También en el mundo gris pasea.
Also in the gray world walks.
A los árboles trepa.
It climbs trees.
Y en el grifo se cuelga.
And on the faucet hangs
Aquí su aventura acaba,
el pan se ablanda con el agua
y cae su atuendo,
dejando a la mano verde,
con su cuerpo negro,
sin nada que abrigué su cuerpo.
Here their adventure ends, the bread softens with the water and his attire falls, leaving the green hand, with its black body, with nothing to shelter her body.
