One day, Grandma Martha
took off her glasses,
lay down on her bed,
and fell asleep right away.

When she woke up,
she got up on the other side of the bed,
so she left her glasses behind
and walked away without them.

La abuela ya no ve nada,
por eso debe usar gafas
y mientras por la ciudad caminaba,
vio un gato entre unas ramas.

El animal lo siguió
y a la abuela tristeza le dió,
los brazos le abrió
y él sin miedo saltó.

Grandma can't see anything anymore,
so she has to wear glasses,
and as she was walking through town,
she saw a cat among some branches.

The cat followed her,
and Grandma felt sad;
she opened her arms,
and the cat jumped into them without fear.

He took it to his home,
looked for his glasses,
put them on calmly,
and realized that what he’d brought home wasn’t a cat.

It’s a black animal,
neither ugly nor beautiful,
and although he was scared at first,
over time he came to love it without regret.

Y es que este hogar,
espacio para todos hay.

And the thing is, in this home,
there's room for everyone.
