Good Day,

I am excited to announce the kick-pff of Super League. Weekend One starts TOMORROW (Friday) and lasts till Monday, inclusive.

It is a new format elite competition, that (temporarily?) replaces Champions League. There are no groups, nor play-off pairs. We walk alone, trying to score as high as we can. There are five weekends of this competition, each weekend, except the Final, spans four days. After each weekend, lowest scoring (cumulative) players are out.

In Weekend One, there are 24 players. 6 with the lowest total score after the weekend, will end their play (the two best of them will continue in Consolation Cup).

We score by publishing @actifit report cards for the four days (Friday, Aug 26 thru Monday, Aug 29) and by submitting an article into the @macfit community (rules explained in the post that opened Season 10).

Speaking of the latter, so far only @merthin has cared to post. Do you really want to give him free points? Originally I had planned to close the writing competition today in the evening. But since there's only one post so far, I will extend the deadline to Monday, Aug 29, 21:00 CEST. For many players participation in the writing contest can save the day (the weekend, actually). I expect that the scores for step counts will exceed 100 and the cut off line might be as high as 80 (20k steps daily on average). By taking part in the writing competition, a player can earn as many as 45 points, which definitely can make a difference.

Walk alone mode. 18 players with the highest total score advance to Weekend Two. 6 players, therefore, will be eliminated. However, the two best of the 6 will be transferred to Consolation Cup.
