Hello, #HIVE friends! Today was a really special day for my wife, @leisasa, and me, as we received a visit from a great friend, the talented
@thorkellnft. I want to take this space to express my sincere thanks to him for introducing us to the wonderful world of HIVE. From the moment we knew we would have the opportunity to talk and share experiences with him, we were excited to learn and receive his valuable knowledge, although it is true that, although he is in the process of accumulating experience, he already has much more than us.
To make this visit something special, we decided to prepare some delicious guava casquitos, a sweet that we knew @thorkellnft enjoyed very much. Also with us was our daughter, an enthusiastic future hiver, and we crossed our fingers that one day, she will also join this amazing community.
The guava casquitos recipe is very easy to make and we have enjoyed it for years. The ingredients are simple but the result is really exquisite. To make them, we need:
- Ripe guavas: We choose guavas at their perfect point of ripeness to make sure they have the ideal flavor and sweetness.
- Sugar: We use sugar to sweeten the casquitos and create a delicious, sticky texture.
The preparation process is simple but requires patience. First, we wash and peel the guavas, then remove the seeds. Then, cut the guavas into small shells and place them in a pot with the sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the guavas almost fall apart and the mixture takes on a thick, caramelized consistency.
Once the guava casquitos are ready, let them cool a little before serving them in small plates. The combination of flavors between sugar and guava is really delicious. All that's left is to enjoy this sweet as we did.
So, on this special day of learning and sharing at HIVE, we not only shared experiences and knowledge, but also a sweet detail that we hope made our dear friend's visit even warmer. We are excited to continue growing in this community and learning from all of you.
