Today’s boredom didn’t stop at bread crumbs.Once I saw that jar sitting on the shelf, I knew what was coming next .Crispy bread rolls.This recipe is close to my heart because it reminds me of evening snacks at home, when my mother would turn simple leftovers into something wow. Cooking like this doesn’t just fill the stomach,it fills the mood too.
So here it is the bread rolls, made with love.
Crispy Bread Rolls(Homemade & Comforting)
Ingredients
• 6 bread slices
• 2 boiled potatoes
• 1 small onion (finely chopped)
• 2 green chilies (optional, finely chopped)
• Fresh coriander leaves (chopped)
• Salt to taste
• Red chili powder (as needed)
• Black pepper or chaat masala
• Oil for frying
(You can also add leftover vegetables, chicken, or cheese if you like)
Step-by-Step Recipe
Step 1: Prepare the filling
In a bowl and mash the boiled potatoes nicely.Then Add chopped onion,green chilies, coriander, salt, chili powder, and a little chaat masala. Mix everything well. This filling should be flavorful.I recalled my mother always saying that the taste lives here.

Step 2: Flatten the bread
Take one bread slice and cut off the edges.Dip it quickly in water and immediately squeeze out the excess water.Place it on your palm and gently flatten it.
Step 3: Add the stuffing
Place a spoon of potato mixture in the center of the bread. Don’t overfill though.
Step 4: Roll it up
Carefully fold the bread from all sides and shape it into a roll or oval. Press lightly so it seals properly.
Step 5: Fry till golden
Heat oil on medium flame. Gently add the bread rolls and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy from all sides. Keep turning them slowly for even color.
Step 6: Drain & rest
Remove the rolls and place them on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
While frying these rolls, the kitchen filled with that familiar smell,the one that tells you something good is coming.
