It's been 5 days since I posted anything on Hive. I just haven't had anything much to say and I've been distracted with other things. So I thought I had better post something, anything just to get started

It's strange how simple things; things that we take for granted, actually have a beauty to them if we would only stop and look closely. I was on the beach a few days ago. The sun was low and I became

This is my first Wednesday Walk post. I decided last week that I would write one this week, however I thought it was more likely to be a Wednesday mobility scooter ride. However, my health is pretty good

Today I saw a post by @tengolotodo sharing some songs for @ablaze Three Tune Tuesday challenge. I thought I would share a few tunes that I like. I'm a child of the 1970s so that's the decade that the songs

Today I thought I would share another of the songs that I wrote by using the website JamStudio to create the track. You can see my first post and hear one of my other songs, along with an explanation here.

Yesterday evening I went out for a walk to a local beach. It was a beautiful evening, the sun was starting to go down, but as I took this photo at 7pm, there was still two hours of sunlight left before

According to the weather forecast I should be outside basking in glorious sunshine. But this is England and it's rare that the weather does what it's expected to do. It's not a cold day , probably around

I have been writing songs on and off since I was 14 years old, I'm now 62. I can play the guitar but my skills are quite limited, I've never really had the patience to practice enough to improve. About

I thought I would see what the AI art program I use would do this the name of a city, plus a few added prompts, to see what it would come up with. I was pleased with the results. I have been to Bruges

I found this little butterfly on one of my house plants. I used to know the names of most butterflies in the UK, but this one I wasn't sure about so I had to look it up. Apparently it's quite a common

Today is Bronchiectasis Awareness Day. This is an ailment I was diagnosed with about two years ago. It affects about 210,000 people in the UK. That number has risen quite quickly in recent years, probably

I took this picture of a pair of Canada geese at a local pond. This pond was a favourite haunt for me as a child. The pond, which is known as the Common Pond, is in the small market town of Hailsham in

This is my first post in the Picture A Day community. We had a bit of rain this morning so I thought I would take some photos in my garden. This is a water lily flower in my garden pond, still covered

It's. my wife's birthday on Thursday but it wasn't possible to get all of our family together then. So we organised a tea party for last Sunday afternoon. She wanted to keep it simple, so I took on the
