I love the sea. There is something beautiful and majestic about it. The power of the waves crashing on to the shore, or the gentle sound of pebbles being moved around by the waves when the sea is in a gentle mood. And the smell of sea spray in the air makes being by the sea a mult-sensory experience.
The sea can be fun, a place for splashing around on the water's edge, swimming, diving, sailing and numerous other numerous activities. Of course it is also a place where serious work takes place. The thing is with the sea, there is always an element of danger to it. Even on what seems to be a calm day, sea conditions can change quickly, and if you live in a country like the UK, so can the weather.
I particularly like watching the sun go down over the sea. The oranges, yellows, reds, blues and purples, filling the sky and dancing on the water. And as the sea starts to dip below the water, I can almost imagine the sea hiss as the sun seems to descend into it.
I would love to say that I have been on a trip to the seaside and just happened to catch these pictures of a glorious sunset over a stormy sea. I don't live too far from the sea, about a 20 minute journey by car. But I don't get there as often as I would like. And the chances of me capturing pictures like this are small.
The truth is, although all of these images were created by, they are in fact digital paintings created with the aid of artificial intelligence. I'm still in two minds as to whether this is really art or not, as it took little skill on my part. But I think you will agree that had I not told you, it would be easy to believe that at least some of them are photographs.
