What bothers you?

List three (3) things that bother or annoy you, give examples, explain why those things bother you and how they impact your life.

Emotional vampires bother me

Sometimes I write about things that are uncomfortable for others (if it's you that's bothering you, maybe it's important to check why) but for me writing about what bothers me is liberating.

Writing is a great way to unload and vent (even with therapeutic benefits) the burdens are less heavy, the fears are less of a monster and sharing experiences with you is transformative.

Today I want to share about three things that bother me, that when I feel them move my emotions deeply. They affect me because I know they damage emotional health.

Three (3) things that bother me:

The Father's Abandonment

Destructive criticism or opinion

People who are emotional Grinch

The Father's Abandonment

It is so, so hard to raise ONE child with an absent father. I know this from my mother, who had to grow up without her father (my grandfather) because he simply abandoned her physically and emotionally 20 days after she was born because he decided to make another family and went to live in another country.

My mother told me about her story and all the economic and emotional shortages she had and that even as an 84-year-old adult she has not forgotten, because she and her mother (my maternal grandmother) who was 20 years old at the time, lacked everything, at the expense of their happiness and health.

For my mother it was so difficult that I see her cry when she remembers that abandonment in her life and I feel as if I were stabbed in the heart.

They, the fathers who abandon, do not miss anything, they CHOOSE FREELY and in their choices, they choose not to take their children anymore to a birthday, nor on vacation, nor to buy a gift for a friend, nor to ask for a scholarship for school, nor to pay for a summer camp; nor to come to a birthday (nor call) although I would add (sometimes just call), nor take care of a fever, nothing..." And that often happens before the physical abandonment" even being under the same roof, the children suffer the emotional abandonment.

Men who find it hard to take charge of fatherhood, even if they have wanted it, they don't know how. It doesn't even cross their minds to stop going out with their friends or playing soccer because the child is sick.

It bothers me that people victimize the abandonment, with the phrase that they put to the men who do this "It's his loss", they even miss a "poor" in front of him.

As if it were an injustice of fate, something that happens to men, and they can't handle it and poor, they're missing out.

NO! ENOUGH! Neglect is neglect and children must always be taken care of.

A child is not a pending subject. It does not come to fulfill what we would have liked to do and could not do. It does not come to give meaning to our lives. He or she is his or her own life with his or her life-giving parents by his or her side.

Destructive criticism or opinion

I resent unhealthy comments, those opinions, destructive criticisms, full of ugly things that come out of the mouths and insensitive hearts, with words that destroy the life of another human being that I am sure, do so much damage.

I was recently in a Sambil shopping mall here in Maracaibo, my city; a beautiful young woman dressed as Wonder Woman inviting people to the cinema to see the movie.

What surprises me is not that, being in line to get in to see the movie (I was looking at her costume, her heroine movements and her beautiful face).

What filled me with concern and surprise was when I heard the comments of other people around me; incredibly, what predominated were the destructive criticisms about her (which, by the way, was not the case).

They said things like "she's too thin", "how ugly she moves" and many other ill-intentioned things that could even damage the self-esteem of this young teenager who must be struggling with her emotions and personal frustrations, typical of her age.

Then I reflected and said definitely how cruel we can be, how cruel we are!!!

Everyone knows their own reality and unless you are asked for an opinion, that's when you can comment on the not so good, but without hurting.

Our reality is a reflection of what is inside, and our judgment is a confession. How easy it would be if we could always see the beautiful things in others; the world would be a different place without a doubt.

It is necessary and urgent to be able to change our thoughts and words; the problem is not the other person, the problem is each one of us... How wrong we are when we give our opinion!

Before criticizing (OPINIONING) someone, let's stop for a moment, if we replace the unhealthy comments we will begin to change from within and of course we would begin to change our outer world. We can try!!!

People who are emotional Grinch

People who are emotional grinch (energy-sucking vampires) don't just look through a mirror, they look through their reflection, and they only contemplate darkness because that's all they are able to see, it's easy to assume that there isn't enough light inside them to reflect the beautiful, and the distortion makes everything look ugly.

They have nothing but hateful words, coming out of their own resentment, envy and frustrations, and they treat others with contempt in an obsessive-compulsive way, without even thinking of being able to avoid it.

I resent people who behave this way, but I can also have my compassionate look and believe that perhaps they have also received this rejection or contempt previously throughout their lives, so that they do not know any other way of living and seeing the world.

I resent the lack of love, kindness and empathy, we are given one life and the opportunity to change and be better. It is very sad for them (Grinch people), but sadder, the fear they have and the poison they spew into the world.

Some manage to turn on their Light and stop seeing the "ugly" but others decide differently and that is also for us to accept and respect, because "not everyone is able to see the beauty in others: They do not find beautiful eyes in other people's faces".

We are exchanging heroes for villains, values for anti-values, ethics and morals for destructive criticism ... "I believe more and more in Machiavelli's phrase: Man is evil by nature."

I am certain that my environment or other people will change because I write these three things that bother me; no sir, we are the ones who must change so that others or so that circumstances do not affect us so much, it is as simple as that. The result...a peace that is irreplaceable.
