As long as you don't lose your health in life, everything is fine.
You see, I'll tell you—this weekend I went out to do some necessary shopping for my home, but before that, I spent the whole morning trying to help my husband get better; he's always by my side for everything, but he was feeling a bit under the weather. Since he’s a nurse and works in the emergency room at the city’s central hospital, he almost always comes home with some kind of virus. It’s no secret that our country’s hospitals are in an increasingly critical state—in addition to a lack of protective gear, the air conditioners aren’t working either, which causes bacteria to spread more quickly.

During his last shift, he began to feel nauseous, which then led to repeated bouts of vomiting and diarrhea, causing him to become dehydrated quickly. He also started running a fever, but so we could go out and buy what we needed, I set up an IV for him and administered treatment and fluids for his symptoms. Thank God, within a few minutes he recovered a bit, and we decided to go out and buy some medication right away to further improve his health.

Thank God we were able to buy all the medications we needed, as well as other essential items. We managed to do all this with great difficulty, because there was no electricity and we had some problems with the internet connection when it came time to pay. These days, almost all businesses are prepared for this and have their own backup generators, but even so, outages are inevitable due to power shortages.

After we finished shopping, we sat in the local Bolívar Square while we waited for the taxi driver we trust, who always takes us home. As always, I took the opportunity to snap these beautiful photos to share with you. Then the taxi driver arrived and helped us load the bags to lighten my husband’s load, because he noticed he wasn’t feeling well. Thank God everything went well, and we made it home so he could rest and recover more quickly.

That’s all for today. I really appreciate your kind attention and support. See you soon, and blessings for your life 🙏
