Los videojuegos en un mundo maravilloso, en donde podemos encontrar un sinfín de elementos que nos dan la oportunidad de sumergirnos en universos enormes, navegar por el ancho mundo de la creatividad digital y construir nuestros más anhelados sueños, todo esto desde la comodidad de nuestro hogar y con el uso personalizado del tiempo. Desde que tengo memoria los juegos de estrategia han sido mis favoritos, ya que para poder avanzar en estos mundos se requiere inteligencia, precisión y constancia, es así como en mi juventud y posterior adolescencia comience a indagar y a descubrir videojuegos que cada vez se acercaban más a mis gustos y a mi propia personalidad, en algún momento sin darme cuenta llegaría a mi casa una verdadera joya del entretenimiento digital Sims City 4.

The Sims was a saga that I played extensively and to tell the truth I really liked its style, its complexities and its development over time, but when I found Sims City 4 my internet in a truly parallel universe, This was a space where I could create my own city, a whole region and govern at my leisure the destinies of millions of people located in urban spaces of modern times. It was no longer simply about managing a family, now it was about building a city from scratch, taking into account public services, transport, health and education, always being attentive to the government budget, trade agreements and the development of a management that must go hand in hand with population growth.

Los Sims fueron una saga que jugué ampliamente y a decir verdad me gustaba mucho su estilo, sus complejidades y su desarrollo a través del tiempo, pero cuando encontré Sims City 4 mi internet en un universo realmente paralelo, Este era un espacio en donde yo podía crear mi propia ciudad, una región completa y gobernar a mis anchas los destinos de millones de personas ubicadas en espacios urbanos de tiempos modernos. Ya no era Sencillamente gestionar una familia, ahora se trataba de construir de cero una ciudad, teniendo en cuenta los servicios públicos, el transporte, la salud y la educación, siempre estando atento del presupuesto gubernamental, los acuerdos comerciales y el desarrollo de una gestión que debe ir de la mano con el crecimiento poblacional.

Undoubtedly we are talking about a product that seeks to take our creative capacities to the maximum, a game that managed to touch the hearts of millions of people around the world, being an inspiration for many professionals who saw their future vocations reflected in it, but for me it was simply a safe space where I could have fun and at the same time dream, while developing a region whose goal was to achieve the highest level of desirability, modernisation and efficiency.

Sin duda alguna estamos hablando de un producto que busca llevar al máximo nuestras capacidades creativas, un juego que logró calar en el corazón de millones de personas alrededor del mundo, siendo inspiración para muchos profesionales que vieron reflejados en él sus vocaciones futuras, pero para mí era sencillamente un espacio seguro en donde poder divertirme y al mismo tiempo soñar, mientras desarrollaba una región cuya meta era lograr el máximo nivel de deseabilidad, modernización y eficiencia.

Thus was born Haven the first city that managed to withstand the passage of time, by this time I had created many others that had been lost thanks to unwanted formatting, corrupted files and many other computer anomalies that often occur, but this great city managed to move forward thanks to the ingenuity and constant learning, since by the time of its founding I knew clearly what game files should be protected in order to preserve all the development achieved in this region.

Así nació Haven la primera ciudad que logró soportar el paso de los años, para este momento yo había creado muchas otras que se habían perdido gracias a formateos indeseados, archivos corruptos y muchas otras anomalías informáticas que suelen presentarse, pero esta gran urbe logró salir adelante gracias al Ingenio y al aprendizaje constante, puesto que para el momento de su fundación ya sabía con claridad qué archivos del juego debería proteger para esta manera poder preservar todo el desarrollo logrado en esta región.

Haeven was founded approximately 9 years ago, at that time I was still a university student and I shared my time between the game, books and my daily life, little by little I was developing new urbanizations, improving the avenues, roads and highways, was building many more hospitals, schools and universities, always with the mind that they were nice and wide spaces, I think that here I was reflecting a little of what I wanted for my city, that is to say, in the game I was building that ideal place where I would like to have lived and to tell the truth I think I achieved it, since today we can see a radiant, self-sustainable and clean Haeven, where the environment was respected, the mountains were protected and the river was kept healthy.

Haeven se fundó aproximadamente hace 9 años, para ese momento yo aún era estudiante universitario y compartía mi tiempo entre el juego, los libros y mi vida diaria, poco a poco fui desarrollando nuevas urbanizaciones, mejorando las avenidas, carreteras y autopistas, fue construyendo muchos más hospitales, escuelas y universidades, siempre con la mente puesta en que fueran espacios lindos y amplios, creo que acá estaba reflejando un poco lo que quería para mi ciudad, es decir en el juego estaba construyendo ese sitio ideal en donde me gustaría haber vivido y a decir verdad creo que lo logré, ya que para el día de hoy podemos observar a una Haeven radiante, autosustentable y limpia, en donde se respetó el medio ambiente, se protegieron las montañas y se mantuvo sano el río.

To get here, many unfavourable situations happened, 8 years ago Heaven was a small city, which began to develop at an accelerated pace, but at the same time suffered from constant blackouts, failures in services and many other truly unfortunate situations, but thanks to common sense, love for the game and the desire to move forward in the middle of this universe, I managed to get the city afloat and gradually define in reality that dream that I was so excited about.

Para llegar hasta aquí pasaron muchas situaciones desfavorables, hace 8 años Heaven era una pequeña ciudad, que comenzaba a desarrollarse a pasos acelerados, pero al mismo tiempo sufría de apagones constantes, fallas en los servicios y muchas otras situaciones verdaderamente lamentables, pero gracias al sentido común, al amor por el juego y a las ganas de seguir adelante en medio de este universo, logré sacar a la ciudad a flote y poco a poco ir definiendo en la realidad ese sueño que tanto me hacía ilusión.

Over the years and even today I continue to discover new pages on the internet where I can download different packs, containing buildings, accessories and many other elements that are not original to the game, but have been created by the huge community around the world who dreamed big and managed to introduce to this platform the most iconic buildings of their localities, improvements in the different transport systems and many other options that allow to adapt these cities where thousands of people live and, therefore, the original elements such as hospitals and schools can no longer meet the demand of people. In other words, this is one of the few examples in the world of video games where a product manages to adapt perfectly to the progress of life, SimCity 4 did not succumb over the years, but thanks to the fans, it managed to remain valid despite the difficulties.

Con el pasar de los años y aún hoy sigo descubriendo nuevas páginas en internet en donde puedo descargar diferentes packs, contentivos de edificios, accesorios y muchos otros elementos que no son originales del juego, pero que han sido creados por la enorme comunidad que alrededor del mundo se dispuso a soñar en grande y lograron introducir a esta plataforma los edificios más icónicos de sus localidades, mejoras en los diferentes sistemas de transporte y muchas otras opciones que permiten adaptar a estas ciudades en cuyo interior habitan miles de habitantes y, por lo tanto, los elementos originales como hospitales y escuelas ya no logran cubrir la demanda de personas. Es decir, este es uno de los pocos ejemplos en el mundo de los videojuegos en donde un producto logra adaptarse perfectamente al avance de la vida, SimCity 4 no sucumbió con el pasar de los años, sino que gracias a los fans, logró mantenerse vigente a pesar de las dificultades.

Heaven is a city that has everything, two ports, an international airport, an artificial island with a large hotel, tourist areas, luxury neighbourhoods, university towns, beautiful squares, incredible buildings and a great human development, it is a city that continues to grow, but which I have decided that it must remain with its original outlines, since changing its geography is to negatively modify its essence, in reality Heaven is the clear and tangible reflection of that dream of the ideal city that I have always wanted and, therefore, I am willing to maintain and improve it over the years. In this region of my Sims City 4 called New York, there are many other cities that have also arisen over the years and I hope that in future posts you and I will be able to walk their streets, peculiarities and enjoy the beauties of an imaginary but at the same time real world.

Heaven es una ciudad que lo tiene todo, dos puertos, un aeropuerto internacional, una isla artificial con un gran hotel, espacios turísticos, vecindarios de lujo, ciudades universitarias, lindas plazas, increíbles edificios y un gran desarrollo humano, es una ciudad que sigue creciendo, pero la cual he decidido que debe mantenerse con sus trazos originales, ya que cambiar su geografía es modificar negativamente su esencia, en realidad Heaven es el reflejo claro y tangible de ese sueño de la ciudad ideal que siempre he querido y, por lo tanto, estoy dispuesto a mantenerlo y a mejorarlo a lo largo de los años. En esta región de mi Sims City 4 denominada Nueva York, existen muchas otras ciudades que también se han levantado durante los años y espero que en futuros post ustedes junto a mí puedan recorrer sus calles, peculiaridades y disfrutar de las bellezas de un mundo imaginario pero al mismo tiempo real.
