As a man, I sometimes feel there is always something to do. There are responsibilities to handle, goals to pursue, and people who depend on me. Even when I am tired, I still find myself thinking about the things I have not done. Sometimes, taking a break even makes me feel like I should be doing something more productive.

But with time, I am beginning to understand that I cannot keep going without giving myself time to rest. Being hardworking is good, but I also need to take care of myself.

My kind of downtime is simple. I enjoy listening to good music , spending quiet moments with God, having a good conversation, or just sitting alone with my thoughts. Sometimes, I don't need to do anything special. I just need a little peace.

I am also learning that I don't have to wait until I am completely exhausted before I rest. The truth is, there will always be something to do. If I keep waiting until everything is settled, I may never get enough rest.

These days, I remind myself that resting doesn't mean I am lazy or avoiding my responsibilities. It simply means I am human.
I deserve a moment to breathe too. After all, life should not be all about working hard, I should also have time to enjoy it.
