What does true rest (downtime) look like for you? How do you give yourself more of it without feeling guilty?
Hello amazing #ladiesofhive, I trust your weekend went well. I truly wish that my weekend could be extended a little bit. Lolz

I am a 9 am to 5 pm full-time employee, and as a result, I always wish I could rest enough during the weekend, public holidays, my annual leave vacation, and any time I have downtime. I use that time to rest.
Rest could be defined as a period of inactivity when someone is not available for any form of duty, used to refuel and keep the body strengthened for better performance.
To rest without feeling guilty, I plan my time off work because we have sick leave, casual leave, public holidays in the yearly calendar, and then my annual leave.
First, I consider peak periods and some critical events that I must be part of. I plan my rest on scheduled days off duty. Furthermore, I use downtime to rest and refuel for better productivity.
Second, I plan my weekends and use them as a do-not-disturb period to rest and refuel for a comeback in the new week. Anytime I do not rest during such downtime, like my weekends, I feel very heavy and do encounter low productivity compared to when I rest properly.
Therefore, true rest for me means a moment of true reflection. About who I am, where I am, my set goals and unwinding. Being home alone in peace, joy, and happiness, Taking my time to sleep, eat good food, pamper and give myself a sumptuous meal. A moment to spend time on myself without any form of work, but just focusing on a balance for my mental, physical, and emotional health.
In the end, I am extremely prepared for a comeback to full-time activity and engagement, fully prepared and guiltless to impact and add value to society while looking nourished, hale and healthy.
Thank you for stopping by and saying hello馃憢.
