The llanero picadillo is a very simple and nutritious soup to prepare, here in my beautiful state of Portuguesa (Venezuela) it could not be missing because it is one of the llanera areas. It is made with vegetables yucca, green plantain, potatoes and ocumo, although I like to add all kinds of vegetables and meat chopped into small pieces.
This delicious picadillo can be served as a starter or main course and is one of the delicacies enjoyed in the Venezuelan plains.
Ingredientes-Ingredients:
1 kilo de carne de res.
1 kilo de verdura surtida (yuca, platanos verdes, ocumo y auyama).
Cilantro y cebollín picado.
Aceite para freír.
Sal al gusto.
1 kilo of beef.
1 kilo of assorted vegetables (cassava, green bananas, ocumo and auyama).
Cilantro and chopped chives.
oil for frying
Salt to taste.
Preparación-Preparation:
Chop the meat into small squares, wash and cook in enough water until softened.
When the meat softens, place it in a larger pot and add the chopped vegetables into small cubes, except for our pumpkin.
Cover the pot so that it boils much faster and mixes the ingredients very well.
Add the pumpkin and let it boil with the rest of the vegetables.
Saute the cilantro and chives with a little oil and add to our hash, add salt to taste and stir constantly.
Remove from heat when it reaches the desired consistency and let stand covered before serving. And ready to enjoy with a delicious arepa.
