A very special Saturday.

Starting the week with the expectation of more cold days, but knowing that spring is near, the dandelions have already bloomed, for the first time I saw ants on the sidewalk and even a fly flying.
The cold will not last. And although the Venezuelan reality is one of brutal violence and terror by the criminal Bolivarian state of the regime, even its neighboring allies distance themselves from it because of the negative effect it has on the image of socialism at an international level.

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, I decided to attend the rally called in Plaza de la Flor, next to the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires.
The reason was to protest against the tyranny of the criminal regime and demand the recognition of the electoral result in Venezuela.
I have no photos to show, only this one that a friend took and it helped me to see a friend, with whom I took another photo, locate me, but it is hers and only if she wishes you will see it in the comments.
I am not a fan of crowds and despite the fraternal, peaceful and even festive atmosphere, when I found myself surrounded by that sea of people, I decided to go out onto the avenue. I looked for more space, which turned out to be complicated, partly due to my ignorance, because when I left through the same door I came in, I was going against the current and the avalanche of people made it really difficult.
Later they explained to me that that door is the entrance, but the exit is another one. Already on the avenue, looking for a bathroom, I found a square full of artisans, I estimate more than 300, and I took a look at the Recoleta Cultural Center, so I have to go back another time and get to know the place better.

Spectacular classical style facade of the faculty seen from the other side of Figueroa Alcorta Avenue, not as wide as Libertador Avenue, which we walked on as we went, I counted 12 lanes of traffic, but it is not the widest. That title is held by 9 de Julio Avenue, with 140 meters wide and 16 lanes of traffic. Another pending and unmissable walk.

I returned home by Subte, that is what the Metro is called in Buenos Aires, so after an afternoon of walking, I had to go up and down a few stairs to go from one line to another in the tunnel complex. I have already been on part of two different routes, and I still have to visit the other four.
By the time I got home I was tired, but I chose to watch the news on X, and when I saw the night images of the concentration, I felt a positive impact, followed by a feeling that is difficult to express, but that surely many compatriots feel. As expressed in the following video by a friend who posted it on YouTube that same night.
We went together to the concentration, but since I am not very photogenic, he preferred not to risk recording me.

And today, Monday, recovered from fatigue and emotions, I am ready to live what the week has in store for us.
To all who read me, I wish you the best: Health, peace and well-being.

The photos were taken by friends who sent them to me via chat, since I don't use a phone, and the English version was taken with Google Translate, which I use to communicate in that language.
