Pues as铆 se identifica su empresa.

Miracle on K Street

An avocado on the table is the manifestation of the event that began with the failure of the pedal board, which is usually located under the table itself.

It was in early May when my wife started exercising with this simple piece of equipment, on the recommendation of her doctor, as the most recommended for the osteoarthritis that affects her knees, hips, and sometimes even her neck.
Apparently, pedaling is preferable to walking, as it generates less impact on the joints.
Less than a month had passed and he was feeling the positive effects of daily exercise, but without warning, the machine broke.
Nothing irreparable, but only with welding. Since I didn't know the trade and didn't have the tools, I separated the parts involved and went out to find a garage where they could solve the problem.
I walked two blocks and the mechanic's shop was closed. I continued to the next block where there was a blacksmith, but that was also closed. On the way back, I asked a man who was disassembling a car engine near the corner of my house, where they frequently repair cars and motorcycles or wash them.
The man, after looking at the parts and giving his opinion, replied, "Johnny will fix it for you," and proceeded to call him.
This Johnny was quite busy looking for spare parts to repair the steering of a pickup truck, which I later learned was his, so he offered me the job when he was finished with the truck.
The truck is old and things got complicated, so I had to wait a few days鈥攋ust two, but waiting is dying.
When he handed me the welded parts and I asked him how much I owed him for his work, he replied that nothing, that it had only been a few minutes of work.
He refused to accept any money, apologizing for the delay, so I took the pedals home and returned with some of the soaps I make as a token of gratitude.

I did accept these. We chatted a bit, and he explained that he only repairs his own vehicles, as his business is freight.
Before we say goodbye, he gives me the avocado he picked from his yard, even though the tree belongs to a neighbor, but the branches cross the wall.

So, what was initially an inconvenience led me to meet a mechanic the same age as me, from Chaco, and a young and helpful entrepreneur they call Johnny.
Of course, now, his real name, Jonathan, appears in my address book, and instead of his last name, "Fletes y log铆stica" (Freight and Logistics). That's how his company identifies itself.

An experience of solidarity and selfless service that generates better relationships, gratitude, and trust in human beings.
An avocado that bears fruit at the beginning of winter in Buenos Aires is a minor miracle compared to selfless service to others.

A true story, only the street name has been changed. Written in my native Spanish, accompanied by photos of my old Motorola and Amazon Fire tablet. Translated into English by Google Translate.
