Hi everyone,
I hope your Christmas is going well and you are enjoying the time with your families. We had a very lovely time with my husband's family and enjoyed a lot of delicious traditional Polish foods. I think my mother in law was cooking for a week.
Today I wanted to share with you a recipe for my plum spread. It reminds me of Christmas because they usually ripen around this time of the year and we can pick them from our own trees :). Good thing about them is that they are so sweet that they do not require any extra sugar.
Start with washing them and remove all the pits, keep all the juice and start slow cooking. Ones it becomes nice and soft you can blend it to make it smooth for kids or keep the skins for texture.
Place hot mixture in sterilized jars and turn up side down to seal properly. Once cooled down they are ready to be stored until needed :). I use them as a bread spread or in baking. We took some doughnuts to friends house filled with this beautiful plum jam.
Till next time :)
