Hello, friends especially foodies!

Recently when I just wanted to be such in a hurry to have my lunch, I went to Shigeru. Shigeru is the name of the Japanese deli or ready to eat food stall which was located in Food Print, a food court on 5th floor of West Mall, Grand Indonesia Shopping Center. The food court itself was clean, neat and not crowded when I was there at around 11:30 am. The food court had some washing hand areas on its’ corners and also it has its’ own rest room.

I took a photo of the dining area around me that day

You could see the modern wooden furnish there, some customers and big fish mural on the wall. The color of grey, white and bright wood made the surrounding looked clean and bright, a nice place to dine in.

Already finished with the dining area let’s talk about Shigeru stall.

The stall was quite large and it had some monitors on the top to show off their menu and also how they made their sushi freshly. The stall was quite large and they had large, really large show case area to show you all of their freshly made Japanese food.

From the first show case area we could meet their sushi, sashimi, sushi roll and others. They had California roll, salmon aburi mentai set, salmon platter set, tsubaki set, and some other sushi sets.

Still from the first show case, we also could see that they had some salad (seaweed, corn, and I don’t recognize the red one), If you don’t want to have raw food, don’t need to be scared cause there they separated their freshly cooked sushi, categorized it, so you could recognize it easily. They did the same thing to the spicy food there so don’t need to worry if you don’t like to eat spicy food, cause they also categorized it.

For the fresh cook rolls they had katsu kani roll, salmon roll, some mentai rolls, and so on. While for the spicy rolls they had kani California roll, salmon kani roll, California floss roll, and some others.. I really confused with the pictures of them and totally fuzzy of mentioning all kind of their rolls to you guys, I need some help. Who could help me with this :’?

Next they also had bento and don plus mentai and ala carte katsu and others.

For the bento, they had chicken katsu bento, dori katsu bento, bento dori mentai, chicken karaage bento, yakitori bento and some others. While for the don, they also had dori katsu don, chicken katsu don, and chicken karaage don. They also sold the combination of them, like dori katsu with chicken karaage don or chicken katsu with karaage don.

They also had skewers there with the broad choices of it.

First they had fish balls (you could choose between savory or sweet), salmon balls, fish cake stick, salmon fish cake stick, cheese dumpling, fish shewmai, premium seafood tofu, crab tofu, Satsuma age vegetable, Satsuma age mushroom, chicken shewmai, and crab balls.

For the skewers in soup or oden, they also had some for you to choose.

Also they offered some snacks like crispy salmon skin in original flavour and in nori flavour (it made me curious with the flavour and would like to try it someday).

They also offered some side dishes, and some were put on the sticks.

They were some kind of their yakitori (Japanese grilled satay), karaage, fried squid, katsu on sticks, ebi furai, harumaki tuna corn mayo, ebi tempura, tori spicy tempura, chikuwa spicy tempura, tori spicy tempura, and kakiage sweet potato.

What I chose that day was their combination don, their rice in a bowl with the dori katsu and chicken karaage on the top.

The taste of each, their dori katsu had perfect flavour. The deep fried fresh fish with the bread crump on its outer skin. It had crispy texture outside but soft inside. It had savory flavour and had mayonnaise on the top, it brought sweet and sour flavour to the katsu.

Remember that I still had their karaage. Their chicken karaage had to a bit hard outer texture, I mean it looked like they fried it in a long time. It had savory flavour and I didn’t too much into it cause I need some crispy soft skin rather than a bit hard texture like it had.

Anyway, I would come back to Shigeru. May you ask me why I would come back to Shigeru? First they had many variations of Japanese deli, Second sometimes I go to lunch in a rush and I run out of time and in this place it was so easy to handle with that, and Third they had quite delicious menu in affordable prices.

So how about you, Do you wanna try it too?
