Hello, friends especially needleworkers!

Recently I made this cute easter bunny basket, not hard, but I found it difficult because I am not used to sew recently. This cute easter bunny made of felt and here I would like to tell you how to make it.

Project Time: approximately 8 hours

Difficulty: Difficult

Materials and things needed:

  • A can or any compass to make a circle
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Felt in white, medium brown, soft pink, pink and black
  • Embroidery floss
  • Sewing needle

How to make it:

1ST

I made the circle with the can I had, the diameter of it 7.5 cm. I made it on the white felt. Also made the rectangle with the white felt, it used to be around the basket. And last for the handle I also made it from rectangle white felt.

2ND

Cut the medium brown felt in two half circle. How to measure it is I folded the white body part of the basket in the middle, to measure the diameter of the circle. Then I made two of the half circle with the medium brown felt.

3RD

Cut two long ears from medium brown felt. Then cut a little black nose plus two inside ear areas with soft pink color.

I then made two circles for the cheek with pink color.

5TH

For the bunny left eye I made it with the french knot while the other like a smiling line, but upside down. Now for the nose, I whipped stitched it to the white part.

6TH

I continued sewing the smiling line. For the cheeks I used running stitch. My attempt to make whiskers with black floss ended to zero cause I didn’t like it at all. So I used the white color instead of the black one. Quite easy to make, make a knot on the top then cut it in a distance.

7TH

Whipped stitched inside the ear area to the brown ear area. Then running stitch to connect the ears, handle and also double half circles for the face.

8TH

Did the same for two of the half circles. Then closed the rectangle with whipped stitch and for the base part, blanket stitched it around.

Voila, bunny easter basket is now here. I could use it to put some mini easter eggs.
